Has anyone made this? Can you make it ahead? Should it be chilled or served warm? I was going to take it with me to a cluster meeting but wanted to make it ahead of time.

It is sooooo yummy, I love this, I think it can be done hot or cold, we had it at room temp and should be able to be done ahead of time.

Thanks! I am glad to hear that!

I too think it is delicious and it is so healthy. For more flavor I have doubled all the ingredients except the beans. I have served it with toasted baguette, pita chips, whole wheat crackers, and bagel chips. It is very good with the olive salad. Kind of like double dipping.

I have made it with garbanzo beans instead. more like hummus. The pita chips are extra good if you spray them with our Basil Blend oil

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients are needed to make the Roasted Garlic Spread?

The Roasted Garlic Spread typically requires garlic, olive oil, cream cheese, and seasonings such as salt and pepper. You may also want to include fresh herbs for added flavor.

How do you prepare the garlic for roasting?

To prepare the garlic for roasting, you should first trim the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil, wrap it in aluminum foil, and roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 30-40 minutes until the cloves are soft and caramelized.

Can I use pre-packaged garlic instead of roasting my own?

While you can use pre-packaged roasted garlic, roasting your own garlic enhances the flavor and freshness of the spread. If you choose to use pre-packaged garlic, adjust the amount to taste, as it may be more concentrated.

How long can I store the Roasted Garlic Spread?

The Roasted Garlic Spread can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, consider freezing it in small portions.

What are some serving suggestions for the Roasted Garlic Spread?

The Roasted Garlic Spread is versatile and can be served with crusty bread, crackers, or as a dip for vegetables. It also makes a great addition to sandwiches, wraps, or as a topping for grilled meats and vegetables.
