I don't know what to do! I like host coaching and I like taking the chance to get to know my hosts before their shows but I've been in this slump where I just really don't want to call them! Some of them have been repeat hosts so I feel like I'm talking to them like they are kindergarteners or something. Anything to help liven up my host coaching?

It sounds like that to you because you're doing the same thing over and over. It's new (or infrequent) to them. My best advice is what I tell myself often. Just pull up your big girl panties and do it. :)

Hmmm... I think I've had enough of big girl panties after hanging out with my potty training two year old niece this weekend! JK!

Thanks for the kick in the butt Rae!

My pleasure. Kicking butts and ankles is my specialty. :)Seriously, your concern about talking to them like children is probably more a reaction to hearing yourself over and over (the way you have to tell anything to children) than what you're actually saying.

The biggest thing is 3 out of my next 5 shows are all repeat hosts of mine. So they have been through it before in the last year with me. That's why I don't want to sound like I'm repeating myself to them.

Ah, well for those frequent hosts, I say, "Now, I know you know what you're doing. You're going to . . . " That way they are reminded (because we all forget stuff), but they don't feel like I'm giving them a standard spiel.

Well, I picked up the phone and left a message for one! The other is my cousin who I will end up on the phone for hours with so I'll call her when we get back from dinner tonight. I'll call her "after" regular hours!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is host coaching and why is it important for successful Pampered Chef parties?

Host coaching is the process of guiding and supporting your hosts to ensure they have a successful party. It is important because it helps hosts understand their role, encourages them to invite more guests, and prepares them to engage their audience effectively. A well-coached host can lead to higher attendance, increased sales, and a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

How can I effectively communicate with my hosts during the coaching process?

Effective communication can be achieved through a combination of phone calls, text messages, and emails. Start with an initial conversation to set expectations, then follow up regularly with reminders and tips. Personalize your communication based on the host's preferences and provide them with resources, such as party planning guides and product information, to keep them engaged and informed.

What are some tips for motivating my hosts to invite more guests?

To motivate your hosts, emphasize the importance of guest participation in achieving their goals, such as earning free products. Encourage them to create a personal invitation message that reflects their excitement about the party. Suggest fun themes or activities that can make the event more appealing, and remind them to reach out to friends and family personally, as this often yields better results than generic invites.

How can I help my hosts create engaging party experiences?

Assist your hosts in planning interactive elements for their parties, such as cooking demonstrations, games, or product tastings. Provide them with a checklist of engaging activities and encourage them to share their own ideas. Additionally, offer to help them set up a Facebook event or group where they can share updates, sneak peeks, and engage with their guests leading up to the party.

What follow-up strategies should I use after the party to maintain relationships with my hosts?

After the party, follow up with a thank-you message to express your appreciation for their efforts. Share the party results, including sales and rewards earned, to celebrate their success. Ask for feedback on their experience and offer to assist them with future parties. Maintaining ongoing communication can lead to repeat hosting opportunities and referrals, strengthening your relationship with them.
