Question on Entering Shows After Month End

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

Hosts can keep their "April" show open to collect outside orders until the end of the month following the current selling season while still qualifying for "April" host and guest specials. However, extending the order period may lead to delays for customers. The discussion highlights a unique approach to organizing a surprise wedding shower party, where a mother collects orders from various locations before transitioning to an online registry. This strategy allows for both personal orders and gifts for the daughter, culminating in a surprise event three months later.

Hi,
I was wondering how long a host can keep her "April" show open to collect outside orders (say if the show is on the last day of the month) And still recieve the "April" host and guest specials.
Thanks!!

You actually have until the end of the month following the end of the current selling season. BUT leaving it open that long will be a long time for your customers to be waiting for their stuff.

Oh wow Thanks chefann, PC is so gracious with all there rules!
This is for a "surprise wedding shower party" where the mom has her daughters wish list and is taking it around to all the past places she has worked, Dr. offices, schools, ect. and is collecting orders. We are doing this way for the first 2 months and then creating a online registry for family after that. Plus its allowing people to also be ordering items for themselves too.
Then the mom is going to have a PC show at her home in 3 months and she is inviting everyone that orders to come and her daughter will be there and we will surprise her with bunches of wrapped PC gifts! : )
I can't take any credit... all the mom ; )
But thought I'd share.
I just wanted to make sure that in case the people earned the special that we wouldn't mess anything up... I'll be placing a few orders for her party, but just wasn't sure how long you could go over. But I have informed all the people that the items will be a little extra delayed due to the "surprise" : )
Thanks for your help!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I enter shows after the month has ended?

Yes, you can enter shows after the month has ended, but there are specific guidelines to follow. Typically, you have until the end of the following month to submit shows for the previous month. Make sure to check with your director or the latest company policies for any updates.

What happens if I miss the deadline for entering a show?

If you miss the deadline for entering a show, it may not count towards your sales for that month. However, you can still enter the show, and it will be recorded for future reference, but it won't contribute to your monthly sales totals or incentives.

Are there any exceptions for entering shows late?

Exceptions may be made in certain circumstances, such as technical issues or other unforeseen events. It's best to communicate with your director or customer service to discuss your situation and see if any accommodations can be made.

Will late entries affect my commission?

Yes, late entries can affect your commission. If a show is entered after the deadline, the sales from that show will not be included in your commission calculations for the month it was intended. It will be counted in the month it is actually entered.

How can I keep track of my show entries to avoid missing deadlines?

To keep track of your show entries, consider using a calendar or planner to mark important deadlines. Additionally, regularly check your sales dashboard and set reminders for yourself to ensure you submit shows on time. Staying organized will help you avoid missing any deadlines.
