I bought a tri-fold poster board this week.. Mostly to use for craft fairs but might also bring it to my show this Friday as a good visual aid. But I am so "creative challenged" and have no idea what I should put on it..

What are the must haves to post on it? I have the Spree-for-all, Oct host special (from KCN), Round Up/Heart Mold flyer (from KCN), recruiting flyer & SS Bonus brochure..... Am I missing anything...

I put a Pampered Bride flyer and Fund Raiser flyer on mine, too.

I've started putting the sales flyers in clear notebook folders (sort of like what is our new stand-up folder) and attaching with a thumb-tack. That way I can change them without tearing the board.

I have oneI use the putty stuff. It does not rip the board and can use it over and over again.
I also use my scrapbooking stuff with a couple of friends. We sit down and get creative.

MoreI also put folders on the bottom, I cut large mailing envelopes and labeled one for the guests and one for the hosts.
I also make little signs with what we will be serving and the hosts name, with the putty things.

I put a picture of my kids on it too, showing that this is why I do it, and that its flexible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a poster board and why is it important for craft fairs and shows?

A poster board is a large, flat piece of thick paper or cardboard that is often used for displaying information, advertisements, or artwork. At craft fairs and shows, a well-designed poster board can attract attention to your booth, showcase your products, and communicate key information about your offerings, such as prices, special deals, and contact information.

What should I include on my poster board for a craft fair?

Your poster board should include your business name, logo, and a brief description of your products or services. Additionally, consider including eye-catching images of your best-selling items, pricing information, and any promotions or discounts you are offering. Make sure the text is clear and easy to read from a distance.

How can I make my poster board stand out at a craft fair?

To make your poster board stand out, use bright colors and bold fonts that are easy to read. Incorporate high-quality images of your products and consider using creative layouts or designs that reflect your brand's personality. Adding elements like glitter, embellishments, or 3D effects can also draw attention. Ensure that your poster board is well-organized and not cluttered, so the information is easily digestible.

What materials are best for creating a poster board?

For creating a poster board, you can use materials like foam board, poster paper, or corrugated plastic for durability. Use markers, paint, or printed graphics for text and images. If you want a more professional look, consider using a graphic design program to create your layout and then print it on high-quality paper or vinyl. Lamination can also help protect your poster from wear and tear during the event.

How can I transport my poster board to a craft fair safely?

To transport your poster board safely, consider using a sturdy carrying case or a flat box that can accommodate the size of your board without bending it. If your poster board is large, you may want to use a poster tube for added protection. Always handle your poster board with care to avoid creases or damage, and consider packing it in your vehicle in a way that prevents it from shifting during transit.
