Package Shipping to Wrong Address!

Does anyone know a way to re-route a misdirected package? :eek:

The address the customer supplied is wrong (transposed some numbers), and I would like to try to contact UPS BEFORE it is misdirected....any ideas?

You guys are so great, I figure someone must have the answer!:rolleyes:
 
call UPS and you can try and see if they will keep it at the closest pick-up area, and if you can show proof of it being your customer's order you/her with id should be able toe pick it up....but I would def call them with the tracking number.
 
I have had this happen several times, you need to call them ones it says "out for delivery" then they can send a note to the driver and have him bring it back. It usually slows the delivery down a day or so. Keep checking online and ask to have someone contact you once they have gotten a hold of the driver. Don't panic too much, like I said I have done this at least a couple of times in the last few months and they have corrected each one.
 
As soon as it arrives at the destination (the closest UPS warehouse) you can call and they can change the address. I call the main UPS # and they contact my local UPS people, who in turn call me to confirm. It usually goes pretty smoothly!
