Anyone have any ideas how I can get my hands on a realistic looking-not used football helmet. I've tried searching ebay and amazon and a few other website. I don't need a professional sports team helmet just a plain looking helmet, that's all I'm finding online which of course are horribly expensive. I'm looking to use it as a "signature book" for my friend's baby shower. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried places like Party City?

at toys r us you should be able to find one there with a "uniform" for little boys. (which you can gift to her later)you might check with local high or middle schools to see if they have any "damaged" ones that arent safe for the players to wear anymore
OR a sporting goods store not sure how much they are there (but i would think maybe for peewee players not much)

I found some online at TRU but they were the higher quality ones. We do have one close to us so I was planning on looking there.

As far as the school ones, I'm trying to find one not used, I know how much boys sweat in those things!

What about a place like Dick's sporting goods?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of a football helmet?

A football helmet is designed to protect players from head injuries during games and practices. It provides essential safety features, including padding and a hard outer shell, to absorb impact and reduce the risk of concussions and other head trauma.

How do I choose the right size football helmet?

To choose the right size football helmet, measure the circumference of your head just above the eyebrows and around the largest part of the back of your head. Use this measurement to refer to the manufacturer's sizing chart, ensuring a snug fit without being too tight. Proper fit is crucial for safety and comfort.

What features should I look for in a football helmet?

When selecting a football helmet, look for features such as a comfortable fit, adjustable chin straps, ventilation for airflow, and a face mask that provides adequate visibility and protection. Additionally, consider helmets that meet safety standards set by organizations like NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment).

How often should I replace my football helmet?

Football helmets should be replaced every 3 to 10 years, depending on usage and the manufacturer's recommendations. If the helmet has been involved in a significant impact or shows signs of wear and tear, it should be replaced immediately to ensure optimal protection.

Can I customize my football helmet?

Yes, many manufacturers offer customization options for football helmets, including team colors, decals, and personalized nameplates. Customization can enhance team spirit and make the helmet more personal, but it's essential to ensure that any modifications do not compromise safety features.
