My Good Luck Story: A Job Interview and 9 Shows Lined Up

In summary, Chef Tess got a call from a dental lab about a job opening and she went for an interview. She was told she should hear back by the end of next week, but she got the job. She is the new dental lab technician trainee.

I am new here and have to say that I have learned alot just reading the threads. It was worth paying the 5.00 fee.

I HAVE to share (before I explode) all my good luck I have had so far this month...Not only do I have 9 shows lined up for this month (February), but just the other day I got a call from a dental lab about a job opening (I was laid off from my cooking job Dec 1st). Aparently they saw all the art and crafting listed in my resume and thought of me for the position. Well, I had my 1st interview and it went great! I was told I would be called for a 2nd interview. I am still going to do PC even if I get the job, it will just be extra money for me...I am soooo excited! :)

I am saying a prayer every 15 minutes that I get it (figured it couldn't hurt)

Thanks all. I know I could make enough $$$ just doing PC, but to have the chance to get paid training to learn a new trade is very exciting to me. I will for sure keep you all posted...I best get my fanny away from this puter or I will never be ready for my show tonight.

Update:
Had my 2nd interview this morning. All went well. I had to take a bunch of tests, I felt like I was back in school taking a meep test again. They said I should hear from them by the end of next week if I get the job. So I guess I'l have to just wait until they call...boy it is going to bee a long week.

What inspired you to share your good luck story about a job interview and 9 shows lined up?

I wanted to share my story to encourage others to never give up and to always stay positive, even in the face of rejection. It's important to remember that good things can still happen even when it seems like everything is going wrong.

How did you prepare for your job interview at Pampered Chef?

I did my research on the company and the role I was applying for. I also practiced common interview questions and made sure to highlight my relevant skills and experiences. Additionally, I made sure to dress professionally and arrived early for the interview.

What was the most challenging part of the job interview process?

The most challenging part was staying confident and positive after receiving a rejection from another job opportunity. It was difficult to not let the rejection affect my mindset going into the interview, but I reminded myself to stay focused and give it my best shot.

What advice do you have for others going through a job search process?

My advice would be to stay persistent and keep a positive attitude. Rejections are a normal part of the job search process, but it's important to not let them discourage you. Keep applying and networking, and eventually, the right opportunity will come along.

How do you balance your job at Pampered Chef with 9 shows lined up?

It can be challenging at times, but I make sure to prioritize my tasks and manage my time effectively. I also have a supportive team that helps me with the shows and we work together to ensure everything runs smoothly. Communication is key in balancing my job and the shows.
