My Feb went really well, and I made my 4 shows in 30 days! The only problem is, the people that hosted the shows for me really didn't try to invite many people, so I had no bookings. The whole month of March went by without any bookings :( But, I now have a catalog show booked and a cooking show coming up, but am trying not to get placed as inactive. Do you all have any ideas to make the most of a catalog show? This person is my husband's Aunt, and she doesn't really hang out with the family much, and has a whole different social circle that it would be great to get into. She doesn't want to do a cooking show, just a catalog. Any ideas?

I have encouraged hosts to give me 5 orders within their first week. They get a free gift from me (usually a mini serving spatula unless they got alot of orders). This way it helps to make sure they are working on it. You could also add an incentive for bookings. Catalogs shows can be back on bookings

Make sure you encourage her to get complete contact information for all of the orders!! Maybe give an incentive for that as well (I know you don't want to be out a lot of money). I had a lot of catty shows in the beginning with just a name - you can't do customer care calls without a phone number and you can't ask for shows either. Tell her that you need complete contact information for the warranty - which is true but you also want it so you can follow up with the customers.

good luck!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a catalog show and how does it work?

A catalog show is a type of direct sales event where products are showcased through a catalog rather than a live demonstration. Hosts collect orders from friends, family, and acquaintances over a set period, usually a few weeks. The host can earn rewards based on the total sales generated from the orders placed.

How can I effectively promote my catalog show?

To effectively promote your catalog show, utilize social media platforms, email newsletters, and personal invitations. Share enticing product highlights, special offers, and the benefits of hosting a show. Engaging visuals and personal stories about your experience with the products can also attract interest.

What strategies can I use to increase sales during my catalog show?

To increase sales, consider offering incentives for orders, such as discounts or free shipping for larger purchases. Create urgency by highlighting limited-time offers or exclusive products. Additionally, follow up with potential customers to remind them about the show and answer any questions they may have.

How do I handle customer questions about the products?

Be prepared to answer common questions by familiarizing yourself with the product catalog and its features. If you don’t know the answer, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Pampered Chef consultant for assistance. Providing prompt and knowledgeable responses will build trust and encourage sales.

What are the benefits of hosting a catalog show compared to a traditional party?

Hosting a catalog show offers flexibility, as it allows guests to browse and order at their convenience without the need for a scheduled gathering. This format can be less intimidating for some guests and can reach a broader audience, as it can be shared online. Additionally, it often requires less time and effort in terms of setup and cleanup.
