I think they are in North Carolina the ones in Tennessee are usually higher we may be going that way for vacation near the inlaws.
 
Where exactly are you looking? We've rented in Boone/Blowing Rock several times - which would be more towards the Northern border between the two states. There is a lot of border between NC and TN.

In Laws live in Greenville so was wanting the closet city to the border that is closest to them but in North Carolina I heard they had the best rates that is why I am looking there.
 
Ah. I'm not familiar with that area of the state. Sorry.. But I know there are a few on here from Asheville area...maybe Knoxville.

If they live in Greenville TN, isn't that north of Nashville? That is not close to NC or the Smokey Mountains....
