Juggling FT Work, Pampered Chef, and School: My Plan to Succeed

In summary, the conversation is about the decision to go back to school while still working a part-time job and doing PC. The person is planning to take two classes at a time and is considering doing a few shows a month to maintain their PC business. Other individuals share their own experiences and offer encouragement and advice. The person is determined to go through with their goal of getting a Bachelor's in Education and a Master's in Media Technology.

work a FT job (not PC), work PC part time and go to school? I have been wanting to go back to school for awhile and I am applying next week. I am only going to take 2 classes at a time to start with, I haven't attended college in almost 9 years! But I don't want to quit PC. I figured I could still do a couple of shows a month and not take away from school. What do you guys think??

First, congrats on the decision to go back to school. I can't wait until I have the time (ha ha ha ha) to get back! What degree are you going for?

I have a PT job, do PC 3/4 time and am VERY involved in my son's cub scout pack (I am our pack committee chairman)... plus I have three kids under 7...
I'm sure you could to all three as long as you are organized and have good time management skills...

Don't forget you, when school gets crazy, you can always to cat shows to "fill in" and make sure you don't go inactive...

Good luck - keep us posted on your progress!

!!Thanks! I am going to get my Bachelor's in Education of some sort don't know sure what yet, so I can get my Master's in Media Technology and be a Media Specialist at the middle school level. I have 2 under 3 so I see where your coming from! Thankfully starting this fall my DH will be taking all of his classes during the day to be home with the kids. My mil watches them but she has raised hers, I don't want her to have to raise mine too!! I was thinking maybe if I have down time between classes I could use that as my time to call contacts. I'm going to give it a shot!!

Well, I just signed up in Feb. So I was already taking 2 classes that semester (finished last week, YeeHaaa!!). PC is my job now, well that and being a wife/mother of 3 (8 and twins almost 4). If you want to do it, you'll find a way to make it all work. Good luck!!

I wasn't doing PC at the time, but I started over on my Master's and finished the entire thing while working Full-Time, volunteering many places and my kids were 8 months and 3 years old when I started.

It may take you a little to get back into the swing of things school-wise. However, I found it so much easier than my undergrads and my first round at a Master's Degree (had to quit because I moved). Your life experience so far will make the classes easier you'll find.

Good luck, take a little at a time (I did 2 classes at a time) and don't overload yourself. If you're getting stressed, take a break for a day or so or lighten your schedule somewhere.

Don't think you can do it, KNOW you can do it. If it is a strong goal, you keep it that way, and want to accomplish it for yourself, you WILL do it!

I have a recruit who does! She is more of a hobbyist, but she submits a pretty good show every other month!

1. How do you manage your time between your full-time job, Pampered Chef, and school?

I have a strict schedule that I follow every day, which helps me balance my responsibilities effectively. I prioritize my tasks and make sure to allocate enough time for each one. I also use time management tools, such as a planner or calendar, to stay organized and on track.

2. Is it difficult to juggle all three roles at once?

It can be challenging at times, but with proper planning and time management, it is definitely doable. I make sure to have a positive mindset and stay motivated to reach my goals. I also have a strong support system that helps me when things get overwhelming.

3. How do you stay motivated and focused while juggling multiple responsibilities?

I remind myself of the end goal and the benefits that come with managing my time effectively. I also break down my big goals into smaller achievable tasks, which gives me a sense of accomplishment and keeps me motivated. Taking breaks and practicing self-care also helps me stay focused and energized.

4. What tips do you have for someone trying to balance work, Pampered Chef, and school?

First and foremost, make sure to have a clear understanding of your priorities and goals. This will help you stay focused and avoid getting overwhelmed. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help or delegate tasks when needed. Lastly, make sure to take breaks and practice self-care to avoid burnout.

5. How has your experience with juggling multiple responsibilities helped you in your personal and professional growth?

Managing my time and responsibilities has taught me valuable skills such as organization, prioritization, and adaptability. It has also improved my time management and communication skills. Overall, it has helped me become more efficient and effective in both my personal and professional life.
