Absolutely! There are some really cute outfits with horrible shoes walking across that stage! (now everyone will be watching my feet so I better take care with what I wearfinley1991 said:I also got a Red Apron. We had mock champagne at the next meeting.
Also, my former director gave me a Nordstrom Gift Card... the joke in our cluster is that for some reason, every time she had a director promote and walk the stage at conference, they were wearing really UGLY shoes! So the gift card came to ensure that I wore nice shoes crossing the stage.
And yes... people can see your feet!![]()
That is my worst fear! Can you imagine falling right in front of Doris & Marla.quiverfull7 said:Good grief.. I was worrying about tripping... now I'll be worrying about someone dissing my shoes!![]()
I agree!!!finley1991 said:PS: The Director's walk is one of THE MOST AMAZING things you will experience as a director. And the New Director's Breakfast.
I also want to be at the end b/c you don't have to stand in one spot forever! I'm afraid my knees will lock and I'll pass-out.DebbieJ said:I agree!!!
Oh, and if you're short, try to be at the END of the line. The first people in line are put in the back row on stage.

Consider personalized items such as a custom apron with their name, a high-quality chef's knife, or a stylish recipe binder. Other great options include a motivational book, a gift card for a local cooking class, or a subscription to a gourmet food box to inspire their culinary journey.
Throw a small celebration party with friends and family to honor their achievement. You could also create a scrapbook filled with memories and messages of encouragement, or give them a personalized plaque or trophy that recognizes their hard work and dedication.
Absolutely! Practical gifts could include a planner or organizer to help them manage their schedule, a set of professional business cards, or a portable phone charger for on-the-go networking. Additionally, consider gifting them tools that enhance their cooking demonstrations, like a versatile cookware set or a high-quality blender.
Motivational gifts can include inspirational wall art or a framed quote that resonates with their journey. A journal for tracking their goals and achievements can also be beneficial. You might also consider a subscription to a motivational podcast or a membership to a personal development course.
Group gifts can be a fantastic idea! Pooling together with other team members or friends allows you to give a more substantial gift, such as a high-end kitchen appliance or a comprehensive business toolkit. This not only shows support but also fosters a sense of community and teamwork among peers.
