How Was Your Thanksgiving Dinner? (Nov. 27)

In summary, the people down in the south are having Turkey tonight. Some of the people are cooking their Turkey themselves, while others are eating it at their mom's house. There are also mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, and stuffing on the menu.

I'm stuffed! Literally-Stuffed stomach and stuffed nose. I put turkey in, laid down for a nap, cooked some more, laid down. Ate, laid down. Cleaned up. Pie for me and hubby. None for kids. They chose not to be helpful.

At SIL's grandparents' house at lunch (for 21):

Smoked turkey
Sweet potatoes with pecans only
"scratch" mashed potatoes
"scratch" potato salad
deviled eggs
mac n cheese (to me that is strange but over 1/2 was eaten)
"scratch" stuffing
cole slaw
green beans & potatoes
broccoli & rice & cheese casserole with French Onions on top
sweet pickles
Apple Spice cake
Batter Bowl Brownies with mini M&Ms & white chocolate morsels
Rolls

Every family brought a dish or two so there was tons of food. I held and rocked my granddaughter when she was fussy or sleeping. I was hurting in my leg/knee/hip from driving for nearly two hours down there without cruise control so I stayed off my feet a lot...

Dinner was a drive-through McDonald's (since I brought home no leftovers) for a Filet-o-Fish Sandwich, fries, and a chocolate milkshake...
