Hosting a team meeting after surgery required careful planning and support. I ensured that I had everything set up in advance, including the agenda and materials, so I could focus on facilitating the meeting without added stress.
Before the meeting, I communicated with my team about my situation and asked for their understanding. I prepared all necessary documents and materials ahead of time and arranged for a co-host to help manage any technical issues or questions that might arise.
I made sure to set up a comfortable space where I could sit and rest while leading the meeting. I had pillows and blankets nearby, and I scheduled breaks to stretch and take care of myself as needed.
I utilized a reliable video conferencing platform that I was familiar with, which allowed me to share my screen and present materials easily. This helped keep the meeting engaging without requiring me to be on my feet for long periods.
My team was incredibly supportive and understanding. They appreciated my effort to continue leading despite my recent surgery, and many offered to take on additional responsibilities during the meeting to ensure everything went smoothly.
