I tried searching but wasn't successful.

Can you make a 30 minute chicken with just chicken parts? I have a package of legs and thighs I would like use for dinner tonight. Does anybody have ideas of timing, etc? (Becky? Anybody?)

TIA

I have done boneless breasts - I know ChefAnn has done legs and thighs....if she doesn't see this, try PM'ing her!

I think she covered them, and did them for 15-18 minutes - but check with her - she knows!

I'm here! One of my recruits did the 30 minute chicken at her first show, and the host's DH did the grocery shopping. He got dark quarters (legs still attached to thighs) instead of a whole chicken. We used 4 of the quarters. It took less than the 30 minutes, but I can't remember specifically how much - I think about 20 minutes in the micro, and then 10 minutes to rest. The meat fell off the bones.

Thank you both!

And now, as an added bonus to the info, you can hum the Mighty Mouse Theme song all day too!:D

Yes, thanks for that. (The Mighty Mouse theme, that is.)

Frequently Asked Questions

What chicken parts are best for a quick 30-minute meal?

For a quick 30-minute meal, boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are ideal as they cook faster than bone-in pieces. You can also use chicken tenders for even quicker cooking times.

How should I season the chicken for maximum flavor?

Season the chicken with a mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and your favorite herbs like Italian seasoning or paprika. You can also marinate the chicken in a simple mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for at least 15 minutes before cooking for added flavor.

What cooking methods can I use to prepare the chicken quickly?

To prepare chicken quickly, consider using methods like sautéing, grilling, or broiling. Sautéing in a skillet over medium-high heat typically takes about 6-8 minutes per side, while grilling or broiling can also yield fast results.

Can I add vegetables to the chicken dish for a complete meal?

Absolutely! You can add quick-cooking vegetables like bell peppers, zucchini, or spinach to the pan while the chicken is cooking. This not only adds flavor but also makes for a complete meal in one dish.

What sides can I prepare alongside the chicken in 30 minutes?

For quick sides, consider preparing a simple salad, steamed broccoli, or rice. Instant rice or quinoa can be ready in about 10 minutes, and a fresh salad can be tossed together in just a few minutes.
