Guest Special Qualifications: $189 + $77 Orders

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the qualification criteria for the guest special in a sales context, specifically regarding a host's order of $77 and a guest's order of $189. It is confirmed that the host can qualify for the guest special if their order, after discounts but before tax and shipping, exceeds the required amount. A limitation exists where only one guest special can be claimed per person, particularly for "free with qualifying purchase" offers. The issue arises when the host's total includes free products, potentially disqualifying them from the guest special due to not meeting the $60 out-of-pocket requirement.

Hi anyone know if the host qualifies for the guest special? P3 is saying that "The number of sales based guest special items ordered is higher than the total purchase amount allows"- I have one guest (past host) with a $189 order and the host has a $77 order. I put a guest special in for each and it is saying the above...Thanks in advance!

Yes, the host can take advantage of the guest special, if their order after discounts, before tax and shipping is more than the requirement. There is a limit of one guest special for each person ordering on the show, when it's a "free with qualifying purchase" type special.

If the hosts order total includes the Host Special, and some free products, she might not have actually spent $60 out of pocket, so that is probably why she would be flagged, and not qualify for the Peeler.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the qualifications for the $189 + $77 guest special?

The qualifications for the $189 + $77 guest special require that the total order amount for the guest must reach at least $189, and this includes a minimum of $77 in products from the current guest special offerings.

Can I combine multiple orders to meet the $189 requirement?

No, the $189 requirement must be met with a single order. However, you can encourage guests to add items to their order to reach the necessary total.

Are there specific products that qualify for the $77 portion of the special?

Yes, the $77 portion must come from the designated guest special items that are highlighted in the current promotion. These items are typically listed in the catalog or on the Pampered Chef website.

What happens if my order is just under $189?

If your order is just under $189, it will not qualify for the guest special. You will need to add more items to reach the required total to take advantage of the special offer.

Is there a limit to how many guest specials I can qualify for?

Typically, there is no limit to the number of guest specials you can qualify for as long as each individual order meets the $189 + $77 qualifications. However, it's best to check with your Pampered Chef consultant for any specific limitations that may apply during a promotion.
