Fun and Unique Iso Birthday Ideas for a Memorable 12th Birthday Celebration

My DD is turning 12 in several weeks and she wants to have a party, I was thinking "Hollywood" Theme and or movie Night, but they will most likely not want to sit in my living room and watch a movie so I thought I would tie it to a theme.

Any Ideas, I want it to be really special we have had a rough couple of months with school issues and our dog dying...
