Has anyone found a good product to clean the outside of the professional/executive cookware??

Barkeepers Friend! I recommend it all the time for the forged cutlery, and was just messing around with it the other day and it did a FANTASTIC job on the outside/bottom of my Exec. 12" skillet!

Thanks so much.

I thought the outside was teflon too. Should you be using an abrasive on teflon?

Will it clean the handles on the roaster? Mine looks horrible from splatters. I would love to be able to clean it all.

Barkeepers friend is a milder version of Comet cleanser. I use it for cleaning silverware marks off my good china.

The outside of your Exec cookware should just wipe clean. it is coated with Autograph 2 as well. As for the bottom--who cares? No one sees it. It comes in contact with the burner and that's it.

Actually for our customers that is true, but when I take it to shows to try and sell MORE of it, people DO pick it up and look at the bottom, and I feel better about it if it looks nice.

Generally I find that a paste of baking soda and water works wonders. It just takes hot water and some elbow grease. If it's really bad, you might try sprinkling it with baking soda then spritzing it with vinegar or lemon juice. Then apply a generous amount of elbow grease.

Please note: the executive cookware is NOT coated with Teflon. This is important information for you to know--it is Dupont Autograph. Many Many people do NOT like Teflon, so be careful about how you talk about it.

We see it hanging from our potracks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the best products for cleaning professional cookware?

The best products for cleaning professional cookware typically include non-abrasive cleaners, specialized cookware cleaners, and natural solutions like baking soda and vinegar. Look for products specifically designed for the material of your cookware, such as stainless steel or non-stick surfaces, to ensure effective cleaning without damage.

How can I remove tough stains from my cookware?

Tough stains can often be removed by creating a paste of baking soda and water, applying it to the stained area, and letting it sit for a while before scrubbing gently. For burnt-on food, soaking the cookware in warm, soapy water can help loosen the residue, making it easier to clean.

Is it safe to use steel wool on my cookware?

Using steel wool on cookware is generally not recommended, especially for non-stick surfaces, as it can scratch and damage the coating. For stainless steel or cast iron, a gentle scrub pad may be more appropriate, but always check the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning recommendations.

How often should I clean my professional cookware?

Professional cookware should be cleaned after each use to maintain its appearance and performance. For deeper cleaning, such as removing stains or built-up grease, a thorough clean can be done weekly or as needed, depending on usage frequency.

Can I put my cookware in the dishwasher?

Whether you can put your cookware in the dishwasher depends on the material. Many stainless steel and some non-stick cookware are dishwasher safe, but it’s best to check the manufacturer's instructions. Hand washing is often recommended to prolong the life of your cookware.
