Does Past Host Order Count Towards Guest Sales?

SUMMARY

The discussion confirms that host specials, such as the knife/block set purchased at a discount, do count towards guest sales in the context of direct sales parties. Specifically, the host's purchase of approximately $160 will contribute to her friend's guest sales total, although it will not be included in the commissionable sales for the host. The host's current sales total is $701, which also qualifies her for $215 in Free Product Value (FPV), marking a new personal record for show sales.

I have a quick question. My host from this week wants to get the knife/block set, and has a friend who has booked a Feb cat show, so she is going to get it for 60% off at the friends show instead of 50% off at her own show. WHAT A DEAL!! She is at $701 in sales, so she also gets $215 in FPV. WOW!! (That is also, BTW, my new high for show sales - woohoo!).

Anyway, the question I have is, does the $160(ish) that she will pay for her knife set go towards the friends guest sales, even though it is a host special?? I'm pretty sure it does, but I want to be certain, she is hoping to help her friends sales out too!

First off, congrats on the new high show!

And, yes, her host special will count toward her friend's show.

It just won't count toward your commissionable sales.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a past host's order count towards guest sales for a current party?

No, a past host's order does not count towards guest sales for a current party. Only orders placed by guests who have not previously hosted a party within the last 12 months will contribute to the guest sales total.

How can I encourage past hosts to place orders without affecting guest sales?

You can encourage past hosts to place orders by highlighting the benefits of the products and any current promotions. However, remind them that their orders will not count towards guest sales, which may motivate them to invite new guests to the party instead.

Are there any exceptions to the rule about past host orders?

What happens if a past host orders during a party?

If a past host places an order during a party, it will be processed as a regular order, but it will not be included in the guest sales total. This means it will not impact the host rewards or any sales goals for the current party.

Can past hosts still participate in the party?

Yes, past hosts can still participate in the party by placing orders and engaging with the current host. They can enjoy the products and any promotions but should be aware that their orders won't contribute to the guest sales total.
