Does anyone have a cranberry lid for an Iso Dcb?

Click For Summary
A host is seeking a replacement lid for her recently dropped DCB, expressing distress over the incident. Discussions reveal that lids are prone to breaking due to their design, which makes them difficult to grip. Participants mention the possibility of using a warranty for replacements, though dropping the item typically isn't covered. Several members indicate they have used lids available, with offers to facilitate a sale. There is a sense of urgency as one participant is currently in Maui and checking emails infrequently. Overall, the thread highlights the community's willingness to assist in finding replacement parts while acknowledging the common issue of lid breakage.

Hello, a host just dropped the lid of her new DCB and is in tears. She would love to know if anyone happens to have a cranberry lid knocking around that she can buy! Your chance to make someone's day!

Blessings, CK

You beat me to it! I just had a friend ask me too! I looked for the replacement part and there wasn't one there. I told her I would post here to see if I could find one. I guess great minds think alike! Why does it seem the lids are what break? Or, I suppose it's still useful without the lid, so people just keep it and use it without. No one wants to part with the base?

Hmmmm.....I know how they can earn one! ;)

It's the lids that break because people lift the little knob on top and it sits so low to the cover you can't get a good hold on it. I broke one myself that way.

You said her DCB is new? Could she replace the whole thing using the 3 year warranty?

She dropped it............that's not covered under normal use and wear.

funny... I had a host put a huge chip in the side of the actual dish last year by losing grip while taking it out of the microwave. I still use it, but noticed that the crack is starting to get a little longer.

I have one, but it's not new. I had a crack in the side of mine and had to do an adjustment. They said I didn't need to send the whole thing back. Does she care if it's been used?

Mine won't care! But, since CK asked first......

If anyone else has a lid, I would appreciate it if you would let me know. ;)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Iso DCB and why would I need a cranberry lid for it?

An Iso DCB (Deep Covered Baker) is a versatile stoneware piece from Pampered Chef that is designed for cooking and baking in the microwave and oven. The cranberry lid is a specific colored lid that fits this baker, which can be used to cover dishes while cooking or storing food. Many users seek replacement lids for various reasons, including loss or damage.

Where can I find a cranberry lid for my Iso DCB?

You can find a cranberry lid for your Iso DCB through several sources. Check the Pampered Chef website for availability, as they occasionally sell replacement parts. Additionally, you can look on online marketplaces like eBay or Facebook Marketplace, where individuals may sell spare lids. Local Pampered Chef consultants may also assist in locating one.

Are there any alternatives to the cranberry lid for the Iso DCB?

If you cannot find a cranberry lid, you can use a similar-sized lid from another Pampered Chef product, or a microwave-safe plate as a temporary cover. However, using the original lid is recommended for the best fit and performance.

How can I take care of my Iso DCB and its lid?

To care for your Iso DCB and its lid, avoid using metal utensils that can scratch the surface. Hand wash with mild soap and avoid soaking for long periods. Ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent moisture buildup. Proper care will extend the life of both the baker and the lid.

What should I do if my cranberry lid is damaged?

If your cranberry lid is damaged, check if it is still under warranty through Pampered Chef. If not, you may need to purchase a replacement. Contact Pampered Chef customer service for guidance on how to proceed with a replacement or to find a suitable alternative.
