Did Our Church Fundraiser Meet Expectations?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The church fundraiser experienced low attendance, with only four individuals participating at different times and one phone order. Despite the turnout, the sales averaged over $150 from five orders, indicating a modest success. Advertising efforts included distributing postcards at church, flyers in local stores, and posting on the city's message board. However, the event coincided with the opening of the county's ball season, which likely impacted attendance.

well it didn't go to hot. at least it qualified as a show! i had 4 people show up but not at the same time, and one phone in order. i am closing it wed, so hopefully i will get some orders online! oh well did the best i could. I did make the new strawberry pastry things, OMG they were so good!!! I had four!!!

Sorry it didn't go well, April. But, sales average, over $150 with 5 orders isn't bad ;)

How did you advertise it?

I made little postcards and passed them to everyone at church, and had people pass them out at two different churches and I put up flyers at a couple of different stores and on the city's message board. I found out after I started telling everyone that it was the same day as opening ball season for the county so alot of people where at little league games yesterday. hopefully i will get some more sales off my website.

Frequently Asked Questions

What criteria should we use to evaluate if our church fundraiser met expectations?

To evaluate if your church fundraiser met expectations, consider criteria such as total funds raised compared to your goal, participation rates among church members, engagement levels during the event, and feedback from participants. Additionally, assess whether the fundraiser helped raise awareness for your cause and fostered community spirit.

How can we determine if the funds raised were sufficient for our needs?

To determine if the funds raised were sufficient, compare the total amount raised to the budget or financial goals set prior to the fundraiser. Review the specific needs that the fundraiser was intended to address, and analyze whether the funds will adequately cover those expenses. It's also helpful to consider any additional resources or donations received.

What feedback should we gather to assess the success of the fundraiser?

Gather feedback from participants, volunteers, and donors through surveys or informal conversations. Ask questions about their experience, what they enjoyed, what could be improved, and whether they would participate in future fundraisers. This feedback can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your fundraising efforts and areas for improvement.

How can we measure community engagement during the fundraiser?

Measure community engagement by tracking attendance numbers, participation in activities, and the level of interaction among attendees. You can also assess engagement through social media interactions, such as likes, shares, and comments related to the fundraiser. Additionally, consider the number of volunteers who helped organize and run the event as a sign of community involvement.

What steps can we take if the fundraiser did not meet expectations?

If the fundraiser did not meet expectations, first analyze the reasons behind the shortfall. Consider factors such as timing, promotion, and engagement strategies. Use this analysis to develop a plan for improvement, which may include setting more realistic goals, enhancing marketing efforts, or diversifying fundraising methods. Engaging with the community for feedback can also provide insights into how to better align future fundraisers with their interests and needs.
