I have a question? First I need to know if this is legal advertising? Has anybody ever made their own coupons? I have a friend who is a realtor wanting me to put business cards and maybe some type of personal discount coupon in there packets they give to customers. It would just be a coupon for soemthing free with an order or a percentage off, etc. I am not even sure how to go about making them. Help!

I think that as long as you state on them that they can only be used through you it would be ok. See what some of the others on here say before you do it though.

This is a file that has been posted before in the flyers and letters thread.

I have found some coupons along with a recipe in the files (more for a booth, but you could certainly customize to fit your needs). As I understand it, you have to be careful in using the logo and anything with a copyright, also give full credit where you got the recipe (I assume you would a PC recipe). Having said all that, do you make your own business cards? If so, print something on the back as well...like 10% off your first purchase or host a show and get (blank) free...whatever you choose. You could also print labels and stick on the cards as well. Maybe attached a mini-catalog to your business card...at least that is a preview of our products and way to order. Bottom line...at least put your card in there - who knows where that will take you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are legal coupons in the context of real estate businesses?

Legal coupons in real estate are promotional offers that businesses can provide to potential clients, allowing them to receive discounts or benefits when using the services of the real estate agent or agency. These coupons must comply with local laws and regulations to ensure they are valid and enforceable.

How can real estate businesses create legal coupons?

To create legal coupons, real estate businesses should first research local laws regarding advertising and promotions. They should clearly outline the terms and conditions of the coupon, including expiration dates, limitations, and any necessary disclosures. Consulting with a legal professional can also help ensure compliance.

What should be included in the terms and conditions of a real estate coupon?

The terms and conditions should include details such as the expiration date, any restrictions on usage (e.g., one coupon per household), the specific services covered by the coupon, and any necessary disclosures required by law. Clarity in these terms helps prevent misunderstandings and legal issues.

Are there any legal risks associated with using coupons in real estate marketing?

Yes, there are potential legal risks, including violations of advertising laws, misleading claims, or failure to honor the terms of the coupon. It is crucial for real estate businesses to ensure that their coupons are not deceptive and comply with all applicable regulations to mitigate these risks.

Can digital coupons be used legally in real estate marketing?

Yes, digital coupons can be used legally in real estate marketing, provided they adhere to the same legal requirements as printed coupons. Businesses should ensure that digital coupons are easily accessible, clearly state the terms and conditions, and comply with any relevant electronic marketing laws.
