I have been a consultant for about a year and a half. I have had the hardest time getting out of my group of friends. Today was my first cooking show in 8 months. I told myself I was going to be better this year and really concentrate on my business. Well at my show today there was only 4 people. But ALL 4 of those people booked a show for Feb. This is great because I don't know any of them and it is getting me out of my circle of friends. I just wanted to share!:D

I used a booking slide I had made so they saw all the advantages to hosting their own show and I told them about the Feb host special. They all want to get the knife block set at 60% off. So on that note it was sooo easy! They were actually fighting over the dates. I am so excited right now!

That's awesome, Tiffany! I just used the booking slide for the first time last night and got two bookings and about 4 people who said they would like to book in the spring (wanted to sit out on their decks or something.lol)! That thing really works!

Congrats! That's awesome! Keep it up!

That is awesome! Getting out of the "circle" can be so refreshing for your business! Sounds like you have an exciting February coming up!

Frequently Asked Questions

I focused on building relationships with my customers and leveraging social media to promote my shows. I also created themed events and offered incentives for bookings, which helped generate excitement and interest.

How did you overcome the initial struggle to book shows?

I realized that my approach was too sales-focused rather than relationship-focused. By shifting my mindset to prioritize customer engagement and providing value, I found it easier to connect with potential hosts and encourage them to book shows.

What role did social media play in your success?

Social media was crucial for me. I used platforms like Facebook and Instagram to share my cooking experiences, showcase products, and promote upcoming shows. Engaging content and regular interaction with my audience helped increase visibility and interest in booking shows.

Did you face any challenges while trying to book shows, and how did you handle them?

Yes, I faced challenges such as rejections and low initial interest. I handled these by staying persistent, learning from feedback, and continuously refining my approach. I also sought support from my team and mentors, which provided motivation and new ideas.

What advice would you give to someone struggling with bookings?

Focus on building genuine relationships with your customers, be consistent in your outreach, and don’t be afraid to ask for bookings. Additionally, try to create a fun and engaging atmosphere around your shows, and remember that persistence pays off.
