I had a party this past week and there were two ladies interested in hosting shows, but needed to "check with people" before they committed themselves. I told them I would get in touch before the show closed so if they were booking their host would get the booking benefit.
Both of them indicated they would perfer that I e-mail them rather than calling. I was wondering how much e-mail anyone does with their business--do you find it as good as calling (for getting bookings?). Any ideas on what I should say? :D

Thanks,
D.C.

I use email for everything. I think it gives people way more flexibility and eliminates the "phone tag" game. The downfall is that it's sometimes harder to pin down details such as dates, etc over email.

I think you just need to be aware of what the other person prefers. I prefer email but others may rarely check theirs. I have found that people like the personal touch a phone call gives so I try that first and send a follow-up email if I get their machine and ask them when the best time to call them is. They always let me know their preference. ;)

I also ask them when I book if they use email. The response is always a good clue as to how/if they use it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key components of an effective email for boosting bookings?

An effective email should include a catchy subject line, a personalized greeting, clear and concise messaging, a call to action, and a professional signature. Additionally, incorporating engaging visuals and testimonials can enhance the email's appeal.

How often should I send booking emails to my contacts?

It's best to strike a balance between staying top-of-mind and overwhelming your contacts. Sending booking emails once every 2-4 weeks is generally effective. However, consider your audience's preferences and adjust the frequency accordingly.

What should I include in the subject line of my booking emails?

Your subject line should be attention-grabbing and relevant to the content of the email. Consider using phrases like "Exclusive Offer," "Join My Next Cooking Class," or "Limited Time to Book Your Pampered Chef Party!" to entice recipients to open the email.

How can I personalize my booking emails?

Personalization can be achieved by using the recipient's name, referencing past interactions, or tailoring the content based on their interests. For example, if they previously attended a cooking class, mention a related upcoming event or offer a special discount for them.

What are some tips for writing a compelling call to action in my emails?

A compelling call to action should be clear, direct, and create a sense of urgency. Use action-oriented language like "Book Your Party Today!" or "Reserve Your Spot Now!" Additionally, consider including a deadline or limited availability to encourage prompt responses.
