Letter or E-Mail Text for Potential Leads?

In summary, when creating a letter or email text for potential leads, it is important to include a clear introduction, information about your product or service, a call to action, and your contact information. The length of the text should be concise and to the point, while still conveying important information. The tone of the text should be tailored to your target audience and the nature of your product or service. Images and links can be included, but should be relevant and not overwhelming. The frequency of sending out letters or emails should be carefully considered to avoid overwhelming potential leads.

Does anyone have a flyer/letter/e-mail text that you use when you are following up with a new lead? It's happened to me a couple times when I'm out and about that someone asks about a catalog or interest in ordering. They give me their e-mail address and I tell them I'll send them some additional info in an e-mail. So now, I wonder how much info to give in this first communication? I worry of explaining too much and making things overwhelming.

I take their phone number and call them instead.

I asked them for their phone number, but they gave me their e-mail. I wonder if it's because that's less threatening for them. I had this happen before and it ended up working out well. I actually have the manager of my local grocery store doing a catty show. I guess I could try to locate that e-mail I sent and see if I can bring it up again and re-use it. It's on my old computer, but I think I can find it. I guess I was asking here to see if someone has something that I like better than my ramblings. ;)
