Booking "Eggstravaganza" Update

In summary, the speaker tried a new approach at their last party by stuffing plastic eggs with photos of $10 items as an incentive for guests to book a show. However, this method was not well-received by the adults, but was a hit with a 2-year-old in attendance. At a recent booth event, the speaker also tried the egg game but found that it did not significantly impact bookings. They still believe it was a good way to showcase their product and will continue to use it sparingly in the future.

I was intrigued by some of the ideas I've seen here and elsewhere, so at my last party, I went through a catalog, cut out photos of $10 items, stuffed them in plastic eggs and put them in abasket. These represented items the host could get, in addition to the FPV, at her next show. I also agreed to pick up the 40 percent of the host special for the past hosts, since they were being so selfless and donating their FPV to charity.

Just posting to say that I probably will NOT do this again. The eggs weren't a big hit with the adults. What I found to be more effective was the "full service checkout," asking each guest if she wanted to book a show. The ones who wanted to did, the ones who didn't did not.

They were, however, a HUGE hit with the 2-year-old in attendance, who played with the eggs all through the show and was VERY upset when I took the basket for a few moments to explain the game!

I had a booth last weekend and tried the egg thing too. I noticed that people who booked were going to book anyway and people who didn't want to book were not going to be enticed to book because of a prize in an egg. It was cute and I don't regret it. I only put $10ish items in there that they will get when their order comes in, so I'm not out much. It's not something I will do a lot in the future. It was a good way to show off the Chillzanne.

You'll have a hit or miss with this kind of thing. When I do my deal or no deal game sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't. If they really dont' want to have a party, that little gift isn't going to cut it for them.
