6 eggs

2 medium red baking apples such as Jonathan

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1/4 cup maple-flavored syrup

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries or raisins

Powdered sugar and additional maple-flavored syrup (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray a rectangular baker with oil. Cut French toast into 1-inch cubes; place in baker.
