I'm in a great mood! I just had my 38 week OB visit - less than 2 weeks until I deliver my bundle of joy! They are already telling me that I have dialated (which I know doesn't mean that I'll be going into labor right away - wishful thinking I guess!) YIPPEE!!!!

Are there any other pregant chefs out there?

My pregnant days are over, but I'm a strange one - I loved being pregnant more than anything (well almost the end result is pretty great too)! If I knew it wouldn't put my husband in a nearly grave I'd do it again (I have 3 kids).

I do enjoy being pregnant right up until week 35ish, then I get anxious... I had my son 15 months ago, so I feel like I have been pregnant for 2 years straight! And to top it off, when I had my son, he was a week late.

I love many aspects of pregnancy, but I'm glad to be nearing home-stretch. :)

It sounds like you are in the home stretch so keep us posted! I'm with you being pregnant/nursing for many years...my 1st are 17 months apart, and the last 2 are 2 yrs...I was pregnant and/or nursing for almost 5 years! It was rough at the time, but cherish this time as it goes by so quickly! Enjoy your last few weeks of knowing exactly where your baby is at all times - LOL!

Not pregnant anymore--just had my second baby 3 weeks ago today! I loved being pregnant too--but by the end I was ready. Good luck with your delivery--hope it's an easy one! My second labor & delivery were MUCH easier than the first!

Congratulations pamperedgirl3! That is so exciting! I hope you are recovering well & getting some sleep.

I'm not pregnant anymore (my youngest is 20 months), but I just wanted to say congratulations! :D I do love being pregnant though, and can't wait to have the next one! I think our family is shocked that we've waited this long for another one (our oldest was 15 months when we found out we were pregnant with #2... he was 8 months when we started trying again, we just couldn't wait! lol). Of course, DH being in another country helps with the waiting part! :D

Enjoy the last part of your pregnancy!
And congrats to pamperedgirl3!

I'm 14 weeks pregnant. I have a son who is 17 mos so he will turn 2 just after this one is born. I LOVED being pregnant with my first. This one is a little different - I still love it but I don't feel quite sick, but definately not all fine - a very weird in between. Also very tired.

I am 11 weeks pregnant. Due May 17th. This is my second. I think this one is going to seem longer than the first. I feel sick a lot and tired a lot. My mom says being 31 is doing that, ha! I have not actually threw up but I feel like it most all the time some days. I go back to the doct Nov 15th. My son was 3 in July.

I am hoping for a girl but as long as it is healthy it really does not matter.
What are yall having or hoping for?

I am 38 wks today and have been ready since about 16 wks. I hate being pregnant. I have not had any complications, never been sick, only gained 26 lbs (doctor thinks that he is around 7lbs right now), no strech marks, nothing wrong. I just hate being prego. This is my first child and I am not anticipating another any time in the near future. Maybe after 3 yrs I will forget how horrible pregnancy is.

You will once you hold that baby in your arms! It did take us 3 years to have another though but not b/c of pregnancy just b/c I was not sure I could handle two (still ain't SURE, HA!)

We are due a day apart! I'm having a girl. They estimate she is only 6lbs. 3 oz as of yesterday (which is surprising because my son was 8lbs 6oz when he was born). I didn't get any stretch-marks with my boy, but I have to say that by 10 weeks, I had some with this pregnancy! UGH! :yuck:

Not to get too personal, but has your OB given you any indication as to if you are progressing at all? Even if you are not dialated yet, you are only 2 weeks away (3 at most). I agree with Jennifer; once you see him & hold him, you will realize that it was worth it.

Babies are addicting! :) I didn't think I'd want one so soon after the first - he was premature, so I hated going to the hospital everyday for more shots to stop the labor. Of course, the delivery was no fun, but I was ready for another one by the end of the year! #2 was a stinker and gave me preterm labor as well, but then decided to be stubborn and wait to come the day after his due date. DH kept telling me that he couldn't watch me have an epidural again, and jinxed us - I delivered my youngest within an hour of getting to the hospital (way too late for an epidural! lol).
But it's totally worth it in the end, no matter what you go through. Trust me, you'll forget all about the pain and discomfort in no time!

Don't worry Jennifer, I have two boys and I'm still not sure if I can handle it on some days! lol :D

I had the same nausea when I had my first, and just as you mentioned, I too never actually threw up. My secret = eat more. :o I'm serious... once I started eating more (especially at breakfast), I didn't feel sick at all. I stumbled on that by accident one morning when I was running late to work, and decided that I might as well take my time, as I didn't have any appt's until about 10:30 that day. I made myself an egg and cheese sandwich with bacon and orange juice. That was the first day in 14 weeks of pregnancy that I didn't feel sick...

I am 18 weeks today. I love being pregnant! This is my 2nd and it's been 10 years! Yikes! Ü This pregnancy has been great so far with the exception of my triple screen coming back abnormal. But, I had a Level II ultrasound yesterday and everything looks great so I'm not worried anymore. AND...we found out that they are quite sure it's a GIRL! We are SO happy because that's what we were really hoping for.

Jennifer, Chewing gum really helped me with my nausea plus I didnt put a lot of weight on cause I wasnt eating all the time

CongratsCongratulations preggo moms!! That is so cool. So many new little lives will be popping into the world soon!!

I have a three month old and won't be preggo again for another 1-2 years. I am 30 now and still want at least one more child. But whatever the Lord gives us we will take. I only got morning sickness with my three year old. It was a big gap from my older two, that might have done it.
Or the fact that she's a pistol!! Loaded and waiting to cause trouble!

Debbie :D

I eat pretty good b/c if I don't it will get worse. I cannot eat a lot though b/c then I will want to throw up. There is a fine line some days! With my first one I threw up all day, every day but I think the "feeling" of it is worse. I haven't gained weight yet b/c although I eat I cannot eat more than usual. Somedays, I have to make myself eat b/c I know I have to. I am ready for CRAVINGS! HA!

I will have to try the gum!!!

I've got a 17 month old. At first, I wanted 3, now I'm thinking one is plenty. LOL. Maybe I'll be like you jrstephens and wait 3 years. I was so sick with my son. I threw up every day 6 weeks until 2 hours post delivery. I even puked on my dh on the delivery table. LOL. Anyways, it is totally worth it though. My child is my life. Best of luck to you new mommies. There is nothing in the world like it.

That was my problem with my second too. I only ended up gaining 20 pounds total because I felt like that my entire pregnancy. Half way through I was telling my DH that I almost would have rather had the 4 months of morning sickness with vomiting every day that I had with my dauighter because once I threw up I felt better the rest of the day & when it was gone, food never tasted so good! Not so with this one! Of course, now I'm hoping I can lose my weight because I've found myself eating more junky foods now that I can actually tolerate them! Yikes!

I hear ya on that... that is one of the things that holds me back from wanting another one. I'm afraid that I can't handle having 2. My hubby and I are talking about trying for another one when he gets home in January... So I have some time to get used to the fact.

My daughter who is only 20m keeps saying baby, baby... and I ask her if she wants a baby brother or sister and she says "okay"....

:D Our 3 yr old gets asked by other people if he wants a brother or sister....we have been teaching him at home to say "I don't need a baby, I need a puppy!":D

The only thing I enjoyed about being pregnant was when it was finally over, and I got the most incredible gift after all those miserable months!

We did A LOT of praying before making the decision. My son started asking almost every day for a baby and talking non stop about it. We had been praying for God to show us what to do and we took that as Him leading us. Of course my son is a little over 3 and could specifically ask for a brother. I do not know what he is going to do if it is a girl - want to send it back, ha!

All I can say is pray, pray and seek God.

I still worry like crazy even though I know we made the right decision. I worry so much that I cannot show love equally. I NEVER want my child to feel like my husband does as the middle child. I never want the youngest to feel we love the oldest more nor the oldest to feel we love him less. My mom says it will not be a problem once I hold that baby and I am sure it won't but that still does not keep me from worrying.

I worried myself sick that Luke would not love me b/c I was never good with kids and now he barely will let me out of his sight!! HA!

That is so funny!!!! I told Luke for a while we would go buy him a baby from Walmart!! And he would start crying and saying "NO I want a real one."

I am 14 weeks now and expecting my third. I am due April 29th but am set for a c-section 2-3 weeks prior. I've been sick and tired the last few weeks but we are excited to welcome another member of our family. This will be the first time I do not need to worry about substitutes, dock in pay or maternity leave. I love being in charge of my own schedule.

I have not seen the doctor yet but by my calculations I'm 6 weeks pregnant. This will be my 2nd and by the time this baby is born my son will be almost 3 1/2 years old. It will still be some time before we tell him that he is going to be a big brother. So far I haven't really been sick but starting to get tired easier. Good Luck to all you ladies that are getting ready to deliever! Congrats to everyone who is expecting.

I was at a one last Tuesday. I go back on Thursday. I think that I have progressed quite a bit since Tues. I've been getting braxton hicks a couple of times a day since about Friday. My due date is the 13th but I don't feel like I will make it that long. The sooner the better. I am ready to hold him in my arms and finally get to see the beautiful feet that have been in my ribs for the last 3 months.

I am 30 weeks pregnant with my second (a little boy) and just found out I have gestational diabetes. I had such an easy pregnancy with my daughter, but this time nothing but trouble. I have already been on bed rest earlier in the pregnancy for 2 months and now this.

Anyway, good luck and just remember that the end is very near. Then all you have to worry about is sleepless nights :o

I worried about being a good mom - because I wasn't a "kid person"......I'm still not a kid person - really don't like taking care of other peoples kids.....never volunteer to work in the nursery at church, etc......BUT - I love mine to distraction!
The other night I was putting him into bed, and I hugged him, and said "I love love love you!" And he asked "Mommy, do you love everybody?" I said "Well, I love you and daddy the most!" He asked why? and I said "Because you are mine! God gave you to me to take care of, and out of all the boys in all the world, God gave us the very best one!"
Last night, when I put him to bed, I again told him I loved him....and he said, "Because God gave me to you, right, Mommy?" Man, I love that kid!
