The thread explores the varying opinions of participants regarding the decision to drive four hours for a Pampered Chef show. Participants share their personal experiences and considerations that influence their choices.
Views differ significantly among participants, with some firmly against traveling four hours for a show while others are open to the idea under certain conditions. No clear consensus emerges.
Participants' experiences vary widely based on personal circumstances, including family connections, travel preferences, and business strategies.
Consultants considering the logistics and potential benefits of traveling for shows may find the shared experiences relevant to their own decision-making processes.

I limit myself to shows under an hour away from me. And that's why I'll never make high levels within TPC....I'm too lazy. But having a full-time job, a toddler and four older step-children, a husband just about to graduate as a Doctor, and a part-time catering business, and we're about to move into our new home, I just don't want to put that much effort in to it.

Yes, many consultants are willing to drive long distances for shows, especially if they believe it will lead to significant sales, new bookings, or valuable connections. The potential rewards often outweigh the travel time.
Driving a longer distance can open up opportunities to reach new customers, expand your network, and increase your sales volume. Additionally, it can help establish your presence in new areas, leading to future bookings.
Preparation is key! Make sure to plan your route, check the weather, and ensure your vehicle is in good condition. Pack all necessary supplies, including products, display items, and marketing materials, to ensure a successful show.
While not every show will be a success, the experience gained and connections made can still be valuable. Focus on the long-term benefits, such as building relationships and gaining exposure, which can lead to future opportunities.
Many consultants find it worth the investment if they can secure bookings or sales that exceed their travel costs. Evaluating the potential return on investment is essential, and successful consultants often see the value in expanding their reach.
