This is a hoax that, like many hoaxes, has taken on a life of its own.National Do Not Call List at Urban Legends Reference Pages.The "four days from now" phrase has been going around since about 2006, which has been at least 731 days.

It may be a hoax but it's always good to put your phone numbers on the Do Not Call list. And you can do it on the web and do a couple numbers at a time. I've put my cell phone on it... I get these mysterious phone calls and frankly, get pissed that I have to pay to either pick it up or get the VM they leave... grrr... well, I could wait until it's 'unlimited' time but then I forget and then it's morning again and I'm like grrrr... again... and VMs are stacking up and... oh... grrrr...
