We're getting all ready for our cruise and I was just thinking of good non alcoholic drinks I can order. I don't know if I will be preg by then, but its just as well that I don't get looped!

Vir. strb daq or my personal fav. vir lava flow(if they don't know what it is, it's a vir strb pina coloda). Those were my choices when I was preggo, or I would have them mix juices like crn/pin/OJ (all typically found in a full bar).Have fun on your cruise and take lots of photos, I can't wait to see! I have never been on a cruise, I want to do it at least once.

Oh Anne, I saw the title & thought you had big news:) Sorry I'm not much help; I don't drink, but we never go out either! I always liked virgin strawberry daquiris. I was always one of those "wussy drink girls" as dh would say;) When do you leave for your cruise?

Well, I thought the same also Lacy, lol.

How much I loved the virgin banana daquari I had when I was in HS when I went to Dallas, but I just cannot remember where I had it, lol. I think that just about any of the 'fru-fru-girly drinks' you could get them virginized  ;) But I would think that they may even have a list, and sometimes they say what they are made with, but I don't know about it on a cruise since I have never been on one, but DH and I would LOVE to go one of these days.

Virgin Tequila Sunrise (Orange Juice and Grenadine)
Virgin Bloody Mark
Virgin Raspberry and Strawberry Daquiris the cruise i went on recently had a decent size N/A menu (they want to make money on your under 21 passengers!!) it included a large selection of frozen drinks!

I love the frozen drinks. But when you posted the tequila sunrise, it reminded me of what my Mom had me order, a sloe screw, sloe gin and orange juice I think, so basically the same thing, I order these often, but yet I will ask again in this thread, lol, why is it that the good drinks always have a pornographic, or awkward name?????

i can only imagine that a sloe screw comes from a screw driver (oj and vodka) ...and so when you substitue sloe gin for vodka...sloe screw sounds much better than a sloe driver!!

I love sex on the beach, and used to be nervous when I ordered it, and would say it really low. Then when I worked at a steak house the bar tender was a little out there so I would never order those there, & to this day I stick to something else!

Lovey DoveyThey brought these around when we were lying out on the deck but you could order them anytime. There are 3 layers to the drink - pina colada, strawbery dacquari, and something mango. They poured the alcohol on when you paid for it, so we sometimes asked for it without. They were so yummy!

I thought it was a big announcement too!! BTW- did you guys see that Julia Roberts battled infertility again and is preggo with her third child?

I LOVE strawberry margaritas and just get them virgin- I know a lot of people who drank before they knew they were pregnant and everything was fine- so don't totally deprive yourself~

Strawberries!!!!!Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

I love anything with strawberry in it. I always get strawberry lemonade when we go out to eat, like tonight. We are taking my in-laws to eat at Smokey bones, it's a new barbecue place in town. Has anyone eaten there? We are going tonight and I saw they had strawberry lemonade on the menu. Yummy, I can't wait.

Debbie :D

Smokey Bones is awesome!! you need to get the rib sampler, that has both the smoked and bbq...i preferred the normal bbq ones though! and a half rack was enough for me....my bf was happy with a full rack! Just a note: They are owned by the same person that owns red lobster and olive garden! When you see one, the other 2 are most likely in the area!!

I don't have an Olive Garden, Red Lobster or Smoky Bones in Alaska!! We also don't have Jack in the Box, Sonic (mmmm!) or other yummy food places. We are FINALLY enjoying Long John Silver's, LMAO!!!!

Hey Anne,

Where are you going on your cruise? We just got back from one and just remember, buy the bonine at Wal-Mart before you go (It's a rip off on the ship) and bring money for bottles of liquor! It is a steal down there!!!;)

Did you have any probs with bringing it home?? With the whole liquid thing, I packed a bottle of kahlua (for $9!!! ....same bottle here is i think $26!) in my checked luggage, and it opened up and got all over like 4 pieces of clothing (and all white or khaki of course....good thing I got it all out at 1:30 in the morning when I decided to unpack!)

I can send you a box of frozen White Castle burgers.

No, on second thought, I like you. So I wouldn't do that to you. :)

No problems, they give you special boxes to take them home in. We also brought an extra suitcase just for our "goodies";) In fact, my husband ended up buying 16 bottles of various liquors. The sad part is that I RARELY drink! I have been inviting everyone over for a New Year's party though!;)

oh i am so bummed!! we were told that we couldn't carry them on, and thought there was also a limit....the next time I go I am getting so much more! And yes, I am not that much of a drinker either, but my bf swears on a stocked liquor cabinet so that when the friends come over and some like and others like that....we have it all!! and he likes to experiment with different drinks!

:p :p yeah, they tell you that there's a limit of 2 liters per person because it's tax free but we claimed all our liquor on our form and we ended up paying $25 for 12 bottles. (the other 4 we didn't count since they are allowed)

My hubby says the same thing about the stocked cabinet! :p

that is so good to know!! i would have loved to have watch you guys getting your baggage and making your way to your car! haha

Oh is that all? Its a lot more than us! LOL

And, sorry to disappoint everyone! I guess I'll see on the 4th if I get my visitor or not. I'm just not thinking it about it anymore.

Okay Anne, just go for it and have a good time on your cruise. You are not pregnant yet just trying.

I wasn't trying to get pregnant after our first child. He was 6 months old and my mother started asking me if I was pregnant again. She said she was having a dream about fish. So to prove it to her I took 2 preggo tests at her house. Both came back negative (not pregnant). I knew I couldn't be pregnant because I was on the PILL, anyway.

So I went to Mardi Gras that year with my girlfriends. And we DID up Mardi Gras!! We tried different drinks and had a shot drinking contest with Tequila. I won! Anyway...we were gone for 3 or so days and I drank everyday.

A few weeks after I got back from Mardi Gras I had to see the gyno and something told me to take a blood preggo test. And sure enough I was pregnant. They did an ultrasound and learned that I was about 14 weeks pregnant!! I was SHOCKED!! I would've never drank if I knew I was pregnant.

So basically what I'm saying is don't worry about it. Unless your gyno is telling you that it would hinder your conceiving. Have a good time!! Sit on the beach for at least 5 minutes for me!
