I like the idea of giving a gift for the dishwasher!

I just have a sink of HOT soapy water ready, and put things in as I go. Then when I am done doing the demo, and guests are filling out their order forms, I can just start cleaning up. I have never had any problem with doing it this way, and I even do any dishes the hostess might have had sitting around! My hostess are always happy and I have even had a few bookings just from doing that!

I do the same with my crate ,I carry stuff in then line it with a stong trash bag and put all my dirty things in it. If I am there to Pamper my host I don't want her to do my dishes. I want her to enjoy talking to her guests. Then i go home and load my dishwasher . in the Morning they are clean and rady to go again

Rubbermaid tub here too!!

I sometimes carry a dishpan but lately I have been carrying a trash bag and lining my consultant tote with it. One less thing to carry in if I don't bring the dishpan.

I never allow my host to wash my dishes - I am there to pamper them. ...but I do like the idea of bribery.

I take the red crate that same with my kit for my dirty dishes. Speakings of which, I thinK I forgot to put it in my car for tonight. Oh well, the will go back in my wicker basket then!

I like the idea of lining the basket/tote with a trash bag. I may try that tonight. I could line it and then close the bag and put any paperwork or clean dishes on the top and still only have one thing to carry in other than my laptop. I am all about trying to cary less, especially being pregnant and getting bigger by the day!HA!

These are all great ideas....thanks

My mom goes with me to some of my shows and she does my dishes for me...lol. I usually do my own dishes as I go. I can't carry a lot of heavy stuff, so I bought one of those folding carts with wheels and I use a small suitcase with wheels and my tool turnaround tote. It really helps me.

I used to bring a tote and threw all the dishes in but that got old after a while. I have been doing my dishes at my hosts home and never have a problem. Some hosts start doing them for me w/o me even knowing. That's great! I usually start on them while the food is cooking or while they're doing their prize slip but before they order. I always let the guests know that I'll be cleaning up and please let me know when they would like to order, etc.

when I promoted my Director friends---told me it was time to be a big girl and do them there with the host more time to CHAT----It makes sense now----but I was not ready----

Maybe, that's my recruiting problem. I just assume the hosts just want to be done (as I just want to get home), so I would never wash my dishes at their house so I could spend time chatting with them. I wonder if I emit my hurried time line out w/o realizing it because it seems my hosts always want to get finished to put kids to bed or move on with the evening. I do sometimes wash the non-dishwaser items like large SA serving pieces, cookware and knives, especially the knives. Hmm...something to ponder when I'm not in a hurry.

yes, my NED also recommends washing at the hosts house so you can chat over the sink with someone--whether that's your host or a helpful guest or whoever...

50 career recruits----it works-----dont gag----

Last night, I did my demo on the Host's bar and the sink was right there nad I notices she had soapy water in the sink, so, I put my dishes in as I used them and while people were looking over the catalog I washed them. That is the first time I have done that, I loved not having to load the dishwasher when I got home! I am going to do this in the future if the sink is right near me, but I won't do it if I am not in the kitchen for my demo.

I am glad I saw this thread yesterday before my show!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to soak my dirty dishes?

To effectively soak your dirty dishes, fill your sink or a large basin with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Let the dishes sit for about 15-30 minutes to loosen any stuck-on food. This will make scrubbing much easier when you’re ready to wash them.

How can I prevent my dishes from getting too dirty?

To minimize the mess, try to clean as you go while cooking. Use the Pampered Chef tools that allow for easy mixing and chopping, and immediately rinse or soak any used utensils or dishes. Additionally, consider using parchment paper or silicone baking mats to reduce residue on baking sheets.

What are some tips for washing dishes efficiently?

To wash dishes efficiently, start with the least dirty items, like glasses and utensils, and work your way to the dirtiest, such as pots and pans. Use a dish wand or scrub brush for tough spots, and rinse items under hot water to help remove grease. If you’re using a dishwasher, load it strategically to maximize space and cleaning effectiveness.

How do I properly clean my non-stick cookware?

For non-stick cookware, avoid using abrasive scrubbers that can damage the coating. Instead, soak the pan in warm, soapy water for a few minutes, then use a soft sponge or cloth to gently scrub away food residue. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel to maintain the non-stick surface.

What should I do if my dishes have tough stains?

If your dishes have tough stains, try soaking them in a mixture of baking soda and water or vinegar and water for a few hours. For stubborn stains, make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stain, letting it sit for a while before scrubbing. Always rinse thoroughly afterward to remove any residue.
