Mine is that no one will show up!! I am sure other have theses and more worries. I also worry about what to do if some order but not enough to reach the $150 to qualify as a show and I do not have a show ending soon to add them too b/c I told them I would order Sept 1st to make them among the first to receive their order.

Plus, I know for sure I am going to have several bookings from it even if they do not come and if it does not qualify there is no way for me to get the booking benefits. (I am hosting it under my mom's name). I have about 5 or 6 people that want to book already for the new catalog.

Worry, worry, worry.......

Jennifer, I too am afraid of low attendance. My Sneak Preview is tomorrow night, and even though I sent out 50 invites, I have 8 confirmed. I will be making more calls tonight, but I am not sure how it will turn out. I have done all I can do, and I am leaving it to God. I also mailed out 60 mini-catalogs to customers that do not live in my area. I have received 2 orders already, so I will just add all of those orders together for my 1st September show. I will be making calls all next week on the mini-catalog I mailed out.

Any orders I get that do not order new products, I will add to my daughter's catalog show closing the 30th, so I have those bases covered. I am concerned about bookings, because of the 8 people coming, 3 have already booked shows for September, so I am afraid I wil not have any additional bookings, but you never know

Two things.....
First - Am I going to have enough time to set it up? I'm having it at my Mom's church and I have to wait until the services/people visiting downstairs is over before I can move my stuff in. I want to attend the service too, so that puts a kink in my time frame. I mean they are letting me use the church hall free!

Second - how I'm going to co-ordinate it all. Like talk to people, demo some products, but still take orders and enter their names in the raffle. I'll have my Mom, sister and niece there to help, but I don't think they know what to do!

I don't have a clue how many people will be there. Only 10 RSVP'd so far, but my sister ran about 10 flyers out around town on bulliten boards, church halls, etc.

My other concern was that I didn't have ALL the New stuff to show. But I contacted my Hospitality Director (she is awesome!) and she is letting me borrow a lot of items from her. I felt bad asking because she is only Hospitality, but she doesn't mind. Now, I should be set for products!

Good Luck Ladies!!

Am I going to have enough time to set it up?
- Can you set up any of it before the service and maybe just tuck it away in another room?

how I'm going to co-ordinate it all
- talk to people as they mingle, let them use the products -- everyone loves hands-on things, and either have your drawing slips in your hand to give to people, or have a stack on the table, and your box/bowl for the entries.

oh, and make sure to have some host packets ready! :D good luck!

I have an Open House tomorrow night as well. I have recently moved to a new area, so I really don't know a lot of people. I invited people I knew in this state (just relocated) and the people on our street. I only have 3 people coming :( , and possibly 3 more. I have a show booked for September from it already, and a neighbor down the street that wants to order, and 2 guys at my husbands work place that want to order. (Early Christmas shopping!) I really don't need the sales as much as I need the bookings. So, I'll be right there with you, hoping and praying for success with at least getting the people to book. I'm probably making too much food, but at least hubby can have something for his lunch when he goes to work. ;)

We'll have to post our results tomorrow night or Friday! Best wishes to anyone else doing this soon! I'm always praying that God will Bless my business! :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What if no one shows up to my open house?

It's natural to worry about attendance, but there are several strategies to boost turnout. Promote your open house through social media, email invitations, and personal outreach to friends and family. Consider offering incentives, like a raffle or exclusive discounts, to encourage attendance.

How can I make my open house engaging for guests?

To create an engaging experience, plan interactive demonstrations of Pampered Chef products. Encourage guests to participate in cooking activities or tastings. Set up stations where they can try out products and ask questions. The more hands-on and fun the experience, the more likely guests will enjoy their time and consider making a purchase.

What if I don't have enough products to showcase?

If you're concerned about product availability, focus on showcasing a few key items that highlight the versatility and quality of Pampered Chef products. You can also use visual aids, like catalogs or videos, to display the full range of offerings. Consider borrowing items from fellow consultants or using samples to enhance your presentation.

How do I handle questions about pricing and discounts?

Be prepared to discuss pricing openly and confidently. Familiarize yourself with the product line and any current promotions. If guests ask about discounts, explain the benefits of hosting a party or joining your team, which can lead to exclusive offers. Transparency about pricing will help build trust with your guests.

What if I feel nervous speaking in front of a group?

Feeling nervous is common, but practice can help build your confidence. Rehearse your presentation multiple times, and consider inviting a friend to provide feedback. Focus on engaging with your guests rather than worrying about being perfect. Remember, your passion for the products will resonate more than a flawless delivery.
