Just thought I would share this idea. I sent out a mass email and told them there were some items being discontinued and that they needed to call me to find out what they were.(the suspense). I got 5 orders 20 minutes later. I also mentioned the host specials this month and one girl has started taking orders so she can get the special this month. Cool huh!! :D
Just feeling very blessed.

oops, sorry, had to edit. another order . $163!!!!. she ordered the table runner, 4 sets of napkins , 4 placemat sets and the napkin rings.

Congrats! I like your idea. I will have to remember that for next time. I already sent out my email for this season though.

Way to go! This is proof that some things that don't work for some, work for others! (Boy that was a weird sentence!) Even though this didn't work for me (I tried it already), I am encouraged to TRY things that others have said never worked for them, as they could very well be quite successful for me. We never know until we try, right? Again, congrats!
p.s. Did you ask the guest who placed the $163 order if she wanted to make it into a catalog show?

Frequently Asked Questions

What are discontinued product emails?

Discontinued product emails are communications sent to customers informing them about products that are no longer available for purchase. These emails often highlight remaining stock or special offers on these items to encourage sales before they are completely sold out.

How can discontinued product emails boost my sales?

Discontinued product emails can create a sense of urgency among customers, prompting them to make a purchase before the items are gone for good. By highlighting limited availability, you can increase the likelihood of impulse buys and clear out remaining inventory.

What should I include in a discontinued product email?

Your discontinued product email should include a clear subject line, a list of the discontinued items, any remaining stock levels, and a call-to-action encouraging customers to purchase. Additionally, consider including images of the products and any special offers or discounts to entice buyers.

How often should I send discontinued product emails?

It's best to send discontinued product emails strategically, ideally when you have a significant number of items that are being phased out. A good practice is to send these emails once a month or as needed, ensuring that you don't overwhelm your customers with too many communications.

Can I personalize discontinued product emails for better results?

Yes, personalizing discontinued product emails can significantly enhance their effectiveness. By segmenting your email list and tailoring messages based on customer preferences or past purchases, you can create a more engaging experience that resonates with individual customers, increasing the chances of a sale.
