This thread explores various methods participants use for sending invitations to shows, including the use of postcards, mini catalogs, and electronic invitations. Participants share their personal experiences regarding the effectiveness of these methods and their preferences for handling invitations.
Views differ on the preferred method of sending invitations, with no clear consensus emerging on the best approach. Some participants favor mailing invitations themselves, while others support hosts handling the distribution.
Participants discuss their experiences in the context of their individual businesses and the challenges they face, such as the availability of mini catalogs and the impact of their methods on attendance and sales.
This discussion may be of interest to Pampered Chef consultants exploring different invitation strategies and seeking insights from peers about their experiences.

ChefBeckyD said:Alison (I can't ever remember if it's one L or two?), I didn't notice a difference before Christmas either, and if I hadn't ordered so many of them, I would have quit using them - but I'm glad I didn't! My shows since Christmas have had excellent attendance, and people have been bringing the minis to the shows with them, already marked with things they want to buy! I think now I'm reaping the benefits!
wadesgirl said:Two L's! I considered doing that after the holidays but all my Jan shows cancelled and I haven't had a pay check. So no paycheck means no mini catalogs until I get paid again - plus the cost of postage is more. I do plan on trying it again just cannot right now.
That to me is just bizarre! How can they completely run out before the season has already started? ESPECIALLY with how we have been encouraged to use them as invitations.kcjodih said:I was wanting to try the mini's with the invites but now of course there are no mini's left for us to order!

It's funny how when you run into someone with your name (one like mine) you always ask them how you spell it. I had a guest who goes by Ali at a show last week. She asked me first. When she said 1 L, I told her I was sorry! It's amazing how many different spellings you can get for such a simple name. People try to put y's and u's and such. I even had one person spell my name Alicen for the longest time!ChefBeckyD said:I'll try to remember - but I have a mental block about the name! I have 2 nieces with your name (one on each side of the family) and one is 2 L's and the other is one L....and I get them confused all of the time - I cannot keep them straight.
They should have consulted me when naming their children!![]()
