flemings99 said::blushing: Thanks for the help. Bascially clean, just has a few black spots here and there. Didn't realize that was normal. We're not grill pros here

It shows you use it, love it and what they should expect. I could see if it looked defective, but they should know or you will get some calls!

Yes, I used mine for fish on Saturday..... it saved me a huge mess on my grill! I just sprayed the bottom with the spritzer and it stuck a little but not near as bad than without it!!smspamperedchef said:Is grill basket good for fish? I still haven't used mine yet. Soon though!
To clean your grill basket effectively, start by letting it cool down after cooking. Then, soak it in warm, soapy water for about 15-20 minutes. Use a non-abrasive sponge or brush to scrub off any stuck-on food particles. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
While some grill baskets are labeled as dishwasher safe, it's generally recommended to hand wash them to prolong their lifespan. The high heat and harsh detergents in dishwashers can damage the non-stick coating and other materials.
If food remains stuck after soaking, try using a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply it to the stubborn areas and let it sit for 15-30 minutes before scrubbing again. This can help lift the residue without scratching the surface.
It's best to use non-abrasive cleaning tools such as soft sponges, nylon brushes, or cloths. Avoid steel wool or harsh scrubbers, as they can scratch and damage the surface of your grill basket.
To minimize sticking, preheat your grill basket before adding food and lightly coat it with cooking spray or oil. Additionally, marinating your food can help create a barrier that reduces sticking during cooking.
