I'll be leaving in about 30 min. to go pick up my 8 yr old son from school and take him to the periodontist. He already has had some baby teeth extracted from the oral surgeon. But he has more that need to come out. In the meantime, his lower front teeth have been pushing too far forward and it's been hard on his gums that now they are receeding severely. He is having a tissue graft done on one of them. Plus they are doing a frenectomy on his top gums. He has gum tissue that is in the way of his front teeth being able to come together. So he is very nervous but trying to be brave. It's not major surgery, but by the looks of things, he's going to be needing more oral surgery and possibly grafting in the future. He was a champ when he went to the oral surgeon for the baby teeth extractions last time. They gave him nitrous oxide and he doesn't remember a thing. Please keep him in your prayers that he and the doctor will do well. That he'll have another good experience with this so that he can stay positive and not have too much apprehension for all his future procedures as well. Thanks!
