I don't know what made me curious to do some searching on ebay but you won't believe some of the auctions I found. None of them are in clear violation of the policies but they did make me laugh.

Over $4 for a citrus peeler? And free shipping? Sounds like a great deal to me!

Over $25 for the bamboo bowl, really?

And what makes these items rare?? Actually if you look up the first listing's shop they consider several pieces of stoneware as rare??

Guess I'm just bored, it's my night off!

Okay...how can these things be rare if they are in the current catalog? Don't you want to email this person and ask her! LOL!

And insurance on that citrus peeler is $1.80 and if you want it tracked - I'm sure so you can get your $1.80 back - that's an extra .75. So you can buy yourself a brand new in the package citrus peeler with insurance and tracking for $7! Don't everybody rush over there at once now!:grumpy:

LMBO!! Check out the spelling in the first listing...hahahaha.

I noticed that too!

When did the Bamboo Bowl become "Hard to find"? That one made me snort!!

yeah, stones are rare...right...

Some people!!

it's funny how much people actually pay for things on E-bay. Doesn't ANYONE do their homework first??

I had to send an email. Let see if they respond. I'm in a fisty (sp?) mood tonight.
I just asked them how they could charge people $4.75 for a item that cost .75 cents.

Maybe that makes it more appealing if they say "rare"? Or they think the price will go up...Wow! Are people really buying it??? That is crazy!!!

WOW.... and i thought my spelling was horrible!
thanks, i needed that!

So I got an email back. The seller said that he/she felt not guilt about the price. People buy them all day long. I said that I hoped this wasn't a consultant because it would be horrible to be in the same business with him/her.

I would LOVE to know where these people are that would buy a citrus peeler for 4.75 ALL day long.....hahhahaha

I had someone go to my website and order a citrus peeler - yep that's all she ordered. It cost her over $7 for it. If she had called me I would have GIVEN it to her. lol

That is why people 'buy them all day long' because they hear of their friends buying a citrus peeler from Pampered Chef on-line for $7.00.
The misinformed keep those types of e-bay sales going, it's sad really.

I was so curious so I emailed the Rare 29 Minutes to Dinner cookbook and just asked her why it was rare. Her answer: because it's not something you find all the time on ebay. UGH! Ridiculous!
