Does anyone have the problem of the rectangle stone not sitting flat on the rack? I have a customer and hers is a good inch off the bottom, thought it was the wrong size rack so she ordered another and it also doesn't sit flat. I finally ordered one and mine doesn't sit flat either, however, it is only off maybe 1/4 inch or so...HELP!!! The lady is really frustrated and I don't want to turn her off the PC!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that the rack is made to fit the rect. stone & classic round stone. So in order to fit both the rect. stone will sit up off the rack just a little. I have had mine for 8-9 years and it works great. I never have a problem with it slipping just be sure to center the stone on the rack. Hope this helps

It says in the Product Features section that:

"NOTE: Stones may not rest on the base of the Racks; Stones may rest about 1/2” above base. Racks are designed to create a pressure fit with the Stones to minimize sliding when carrying the Stone. "

So what your customer is experiencing is normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Rectangle Stone not sitting flat?

The Rectangle Stone may not sit flat due to uneven surfaces or warping. Ensure that the stone is placed on a flat, stable surface. If the stone has been exposed to extreme temperatures, it may have warped slightly. Regular use and proper care can help maintain its shape.

How can I fix a Rectangle Stone that is warped?

If your Rectangle Stone is warped, you can try placing it in a preheated oven at a low temperature (around 200°F) for about 10-15 minutes. This may help it to relax and return to its original shape. However, be cautious and monitor it closely to avoid any damage.

What should I do if my Rectangle Stone rocks when placed on the counter?

If your Rectangle Stone rocks, check the surface it’s on for any unevenness. You can also try placing a small piece of cardboard or a folded paper towel under the lower corner to stabilize it. Ensure that your counter is level and free from debris.

Can I use my Rectangle Stone in the microwave?

Yes, the Rectangle Stone is microwave-safe. However, if you notice it sitting unevenly in the microwave, ensure that the turntable is functioning correctly and that the stone is placed in the center. Avoid using it in the microwave if it shows signs of warping.

How can I prevent my Rectangle Stone from becoming uneven in the future?

To prevent your Rectangle Stone from becoming uneven, avoid exposing it to sudden temperature changes, such as placing it in cold water right after removing it from the oven. Always allow it to cool down gradually. Additionally, store it flat and avoid stacking heavy items on top of it.
