Nothing so far today, but had a show last night with about 10 peeps there. I got a booking for November 7th, a booking for December 5th, and the host wants to do another show after the new year!

The December booking is interested in the biz so if she decides to sign up, there would go the booking...that would be fine with me though. :)

What a DAY!!!!So, I did my booth today. This is the 2nd time I have done this event, and this year happened to be the 50th anniversary! I was not expecting a good turnout since the local radio station was having an event as well, but..........here's the results:
2 strong recruit leads (1 said HE would sign up online tonight!)
4 catalog shows (all November)
3 Cooking shows - all November:thumbup:

AND I still have TONS of calls to make from my slips. I even shared this booth with a Consultant on my team and she booked I think 4 Cooking shows and 2 Catalog shows, plus has tons to follow up on as well!

We both ran out of recipe cards:eek: And I even ran out of my old cattys that I brought. The crowd was bigger than anyone expected - even the food vendors ran out of food! Needless to say, I already booked next year!;)

Then, I come home to a message to call another lady. She was at a PTA fundraiser that I was one of the sponsors, so I'm off to see if I have another booking!

I wasn't expecting to get any contacts today....it was just all about the big party from morning until I just sat down 5 minutes ago.....BUT!.....

My SIL, who has never shown ANY interest in PC, and wouldn't do a show, fell in love with all of my Dots stuff (I used it all for serving dishes at the party!:D).
And now she is thinking she wants to do a Catalog Show at her workplace (my bank!) to get the Dots for 60% off! She also is going to make sure I get an open slot at the bank to do a display. They have one business a week set up a table and do a display at the entrance doors!

Then, one of my DH's co-workers, who is engaged, asked me about PC, and as we chatted about cooking, and working FT and trying to make meals....she decided to have a show! WOW!

And THEN! An old friend who I haven't seen in a long time was at the party and we were chatting...and she asked me if the economy was affecting my business...which led to a chat about my business....and she is interested in having a party, and possibly looking at PC for a PT job.

WOW - I totally didn't expect any of that tonight!

My Director has a challenge going for us to live and breathe the 3-2-1 for 6 weeks, so not wanting to miss a challenge, I am in. She if offering a $50 GC, but I am not motivated by that, but more to build my business.

I am focusing on the 3 contacts a day, will (keep your fingers crossed) have 6 shows this month and a recruit potential so far. Focusing on making the 3 live contacts a day is a real job, but it is working. I have booked 3 more shows for November, which brings my total to 7 for Nov.

I am ending week 2. I just have to keep focused and do it. The phone is not my enemy and I can't take no personally. Everyone, I would urge you all to take up the challenge and work the 3 of the 3-2-1. My -2-1 are next.

Way to go Amy! And woo hoo to everyone else here working that 3-2-1! I did mostly host coaching today...had one of my October hosts move to November. Bummed about that but I guess moving the date is better than cancelling all together.

I will TRY to get some more contacts in tomorrow although it IS Sunday so no promises...lol.

Had four contacts yesterday. Not bad for running around a re-enactment wearing PC stuff.

not planning on any calls today......but I did do a few email follow ups

Got an "accidental" contact today. Sold a PS2 on E-bay - person was local - she called me to arrange a pick-up and heard my "PC message" on my cell phone voicemail. She asked me 3 times to bring her a catalog. She doesn't do parties she says, but loves PC and loves to order and asked if I can put it on whatever show I'm doing in the area. Sure! :)I gave her a Season's Best as a gift even though she hasn't ordered yet - she spent plenty on the PS2!

WOW! Again today, I didn't intend on any contacts....but a dear friend called me this evening to order a few things for her new home... and ended up booking for Dec 2nd!

I did a Fundraiser cooking show on Saturday for the VFW Ladies Auxillary. There were only 6 guests in attendance, plus 3 others that placed orders with me before I set up, and then they had to leave. The show is at $454 right now, with potential for 3-4 more orders.

That is great!

Three contacts today, but no visible results. I did close a serendipitous catalog party--$734 plus change.

Nothing today. (hangs head in shame) I am going to try to do the bulk of my calls for the week tomorrow. I gotta get DH on board for that one though...

Made 7 calls with one catalog show, and one to call back on Friday for better schedule.

great job Rae on the catalog show!

I made alot of calls last night, but had a hard time connecting with people.

Thanks, but I really didn't do much of anything. I call it serendipitous because we had no connection at all. She and her work friends were talking about the fact that it had been over a year since they'd done a PC show. They asked around, but no one knew a consultant. She was talking with another friend who said, "Hey, my SIL used to be a consultant. Maybe she knows someone."

Turns out that the SIL is a life coach I met at an expo a couple of years ago. We really connected. She gave them my web address, and the host contacted me. I did my usual host coaching and answered some questions. Easiest show I've ever done.

The moral of the story: make those connections; you never know who might know someone who knows someone who . . .

host coaching yesterday......

I sent out my e-mail about my Mystery Host show late last night. I've received three positive responses. I know I'll get more responses, and I'm planning to start making phone calls. I know e-mail doesn't count, but because I received three positive responses from those who want to participate, I'm counting it!

I booked a November Show today....up to 8 shows, a catalog show, and a Vendor Fair. I have 3 shows next week, and I'll be able to fill the empty slots on my Nov calendar then, I think....and work some on Dec. too. I have 2 for Dec. right now.

Also talked to a recruit lead today....we are still in the process though. I'm pretty sure she is going to sign - it's just a matter of when.

You are smokin'!

Had four contacts at our prayer group this evening. No immediate results, but that's fine. I didn't expect to make any contacts.

:D:D:Dgiggle, giggle giggle:D:D:D:D:D

5 cooking shows & 4 cattys and 2 more hosts to nail down a date for November and that's all I want! balance, balance, balance. Business does much better when i spend my time host coaching than fretting about "finding" more.......

And keep in mind that just a wee bit ago, I only had 2 shows for the ENTIRE remainder of the year! My how one event can turn it all around......or was it the attitude?

I think it's both combined!

It's incredible how one event can turn your business around when you go into it with the right attitude.;)

Tonight was a lot of host coaching here. I have a show tomorrow and Saturday that I plan on making more contacts at too.

Other than host coaching calls:

1- customer care call...I am sending her recipes for the fluted pan she recently bought along with my catalog and November guest special.

Got 3 more people to say "yes" to my mystery host catalog show for November (4 down...6 to go).

Got a "no" about the mystery host show too but at least I asked.

I had four contacts yesterday, one of which allowed me to handle an exchange for a customer. Also did a bit of host coaching.

Wow! I am always amazed when I have people call me out of the blue!

Just had a phone call from a lady who picked up my business card in a restaurant - she was so excited! She has been looking for a consultant!

I am sending her host info for next month - she would like to have a show....but she was at work and didn't have her calendar....I'll be calling her this evening to get a date on the books!

Had four contacts today. Talked with one about a possible wedding registry/shower.
