My fair this weekend is ongoing and I made several really good contacts yesterday~no on the spot bookings, but plan to follow up starting Tuesday!

Made a few calls yesterday. I got a no thanks, booked a November cooking show, and a November catty show. Both of these bookings came from last week's booth. (The catty show host had originally been interested in winning the cookbook; was too busy for the cooking show, so I talked her into a catty show. I don't mind because she lives about an hour away!)

No contacts yesterday or today. I usually don't do calls on weekends.Oh, wait, that's not true. I had someone ask me at church today for a catalog. And, I got an email this morning from someone telling me she wants to order a 12" Family Skillet and Glass Lid. :) I've emailed her back asking if she has a friend hosting a show that she wants to add this to or if she's just wanting to place an individual order. (Don't worry, as long as she's in no hurry I'll add it to a show so she can get the Pumpkin Dish.)

no contacts for me this weekend, but I did get an online order for a wedding registry ($78)

I love it when the contacts come to me, instead of me going after them!

First, this morning, I had a "contact me" email from my website. Someone wanted to order a replacement part for her APCS, but also wanted to ask me how to order the Pink Products from the website. She was not someone on my email newsletter list, but now is!

Then, I had another referral. A past host gave my name to her cousin, who's last PC party was in 1997! She got her pots and pans free at her show then, and is now looking to replace them. (too bad I wasn't referred to her for Sept!) I sent her the specials for the next couple months, along with a catalog. She wants to look at the catalog before deciding which month she has her show. (She hasn't seen any of the new products, so wants to look at SA & the Trifle Bowl before deciding.)

Then....still 2 more referrals from past hosts - both for people who are looking for PC Consultants for their Holiday DS Open Houses. The great thing is that even if I can't do them, I can now pass this type of offer on to my team!

contacts made:
1 recruit "supposed" to be signing tonight (believe it when i get the the email confirmation)
2 product adjustments (1 HO dropped the ball on - never arranged FedEx p/u - lady is VERY ticked at me, guess I'll have to send her a SBRC
1 Nov show booked

off to give DH a haircut.....have great night!

Let's call this "Turbo 3-2-1"

My director has issued a challenge to seriously step up our contacts ... both on the phone and out and about. She wants us to make 3 contacts SEVEN DAYS A WEEK or 21 contacts a week. Phone messages do not count.

She also made a big deal about NEW contacts. I could understand her point about not beating dead horses but when I pointed out that I have a stack of fairly fresh fair contacts, she said it was OK to start with those, and agreed that if I don't include them that they will never get called.

This is going to be a huge step of faith for me.

Three contacts yesterday and a team meeting.

Haven't made new contacts, but wanted to come report that HO called me. I am officially a director.

Wahoo Ellen! Congratulations!

Congratulations, Ellen!

Only two contacts today, but i'm feeling kinda blech, so I figure that's good enough. Plus, one of those contacts resulted in another November show. :)BTW, don't be concerned. I think it's a hormonal slump. (I've also not slept well the last couple of nights.) The Furry Guy wonders if I'm not just suffering from brain whirl because I'm in the middle of several different projects right now. He's a wise and discerning man. He could be right.

Congrats Ellen! Good for you. You've been working very hard, and it's paid off.

Today's contacts:

#1. Got an order for about $15...better than nothing.

#2. Got my first "yes" to do my mystery host catalog show in November (need 9 more).

#3. Called a guest that checked "yes" on hosting on the DPDS. She had NO idea what I was talking about and told me no thanks.

#4. Called a potential fall booking that now says no but will consider my mystery host show.

YEA ELLEN! Congratulations!

Had a show tonight, so those were my contacts for the day. 12 guests, $600 in sales, and another booking for November. AND it was a fun show!:)

Congratulations Ellen!!

only 1 contact yesterday.......

My contacts yesterday resulted in:

~Booked an October catty show
~2 No thanks
~A potential recruit lead (this is a girl that I met at Walmart months ago, and have been following up with her about hosting. She was talking about that she wants to have a successful show, but not sure if she can get people to buy because of the economy. I knew that she could also use the money. She mentioned that she had been thinking of doing something like Avon, MK, etc.)

~I made one customer care contact
~I also gave out recipe cards and a mini-catty to 2 people at the grocery store. I didn't talk to them about booking, or get their contact info, but was happy that I could provide them with some meal suggestions.

Did some host coaching today. I love this host. She called me in a panic on Saturday because she has 14 people who have confirmed and her house won't fit 14 people. I assured her everyone will fit.Had 3 contacts today, including giving away a recipe to a Wal-Mart employee who helped me find candy corn in individual packs. She said she hasn't had a PC party in years. When I told her that stoneware is the Nov special, she expressed a lot of interest. Oh, yeah, I wanted the individual packs of candy corn for my show on Oct 30. That's National Candy Corn Day. I'll be switching from my normal Hershey Kisses for that show.

I got two contacts in earlier today. One was following up on a recruit lead. She is not interested. The other was a customer care call. She told me to call her after the first of the year about hosting.

This evening, the start of a cold (or maybe it is allergies) has got a hold of me, and I have no energy. I hope I don't wake up feeling like this tomorrow.

calls made, 3 live contacts. no visisble results other than a new email address to add to my newsletter list.....

Sent out my October newsletters FINALLY!Tried to close a catalog show but she's not ready until tomorrow - oh well, with the cookware special the "show" is only at $66.50 in Comm. Sales. My new recruit is signing TOMORROW night! :)Anyone have a good mini-catalog insert? I need to get some out to people!

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one late with my newsletter this month! I sent it out to everyone last night, too!
I am closing a show today and another one tomorrow~total is over $1200! Already have over $1,000 showing on the IPT, so that will take me even closer to the ever-elusive $4000 my team needs.
I have several contacts I need to get in touch with from the fair I did this past weekend, so my goal is to spend time on the phone later this morning talking to them and hopefully setting up recruiting interviews.
If I am to get out of this repromo period, I have to have at least 3 more people on the team! Gotta get crackin'!

Had a show tonight. No bookings, no recruit lead and sales around $350 so far. It was fun though. :)

Have another show tomorrow.

I have been swamped with planning this 50th Birthday Party - but I did manage to make a few calls last night while I was in the kitchen cooking.

I got one Catalog Show for November. Should be a good one too - husband and wife who own their own business and come in contact with a lot of people daily, and he's a former chef. They bought their first stone at a party in August, and emailed me to tell me how much they love it, and gave me a list of what they have been making on it! They now think everyone should own stones....so they'll be great at selling them for me in Nov.!

Other than that, I left messages, and talked to a husband....OH! And talked to a past host who is thinking of signing....I invited her to the Cook and Book Training I am doing Monday evening, and she is coming!

uhhhmmmm, I think I made all the contacts yesterday. It was while I was out and about.

I also attended a cluster meeting from a fellow CS'er Director. She was so gracious and inviting as was her team. Absolutely wonderful! I am so thankful to her.

Only made 1 contact yesterday. Still not feeling well :( . Getting ready for a fundraiser cooking show tomorrow. (and I also need to pack, because it is 4.5 hours away; going to visit my dad).

Whew! Didn't have time to make contacts today, really - so I am so excited to report that by 9:15, I had my 3 contacts in for the day!

First, at 8:30, I had someone CALL BACK! She attended a show a couple weeks ago, and during the show, asked a bunch of questions about the Power Cooking show. She didn't order anything at the show though, and left before I could chat with her more.
I had called and left a message a few days ago, and she called me back this morning to say that she has a guest list ready to send me and can we set up a show for NOVEMBER! Whoo Hooo!

Then, I took DS to preschool. He has his first little girlfriend....well, at least, he has his first little girl with a crush on him. When DS walks in, she comes to him immediately to say hi, and is so cute about it. Her mom and I were laughing about it as we walked out of the classroom, and then all of a sudden she turned to me and said "I'd love to do a show for all of the moms in the class". (oh yeah, I never go to school without wearing something PC) and then, a dad who was behind us said "Hey - don't forget the dads - I do the cooking at our house!" So, I promised both of them I would bring them a catalog and booking info when we come pick up the kids. :D:thumbup:

That's my 3 for the day, and now I can focus on this party.

I had 12 contacts at a show last night. The host closed immediately following the show with $515 in commissionable sales. However, because the show was just over an hour away and I didn't leave her house until almost 10, I'm exhausted today. The show didn't go late, but the party did. Guests just didn't want to leave. (Yeah, I'm that fun. LOL!) Had a temp job yesterday and today, so I was up and out of the house early. I got home this afternoon and took a quick nap, entered and submitted the show, and decided I'll make a few calls tomorrow. We're also going to the Mississinewa 1812 Re-enactment. Since it's near where we both grew up, we'll be seeing lots of people. I will, of course, be a walking PC billboard. :)

well, I have been busy preparing for a booth tomorrow. Really hoping that I can get some good NOVEMBER bookings. I'm sharing the booth with one of my newer Consultants. I'm really excited to work with her. She's been one to just be fine working on her own (and she's done well). I'm just happy that she is so eager to step out and build a business!

Oh, I did get one replacement order today from my hairstylist........
