I was in Wave 2 (So are you talking about the August 17th deadline?)

Yep - that would be the one!

Today a my new networking group I handed out some flyers and have someone interested in a Sept. Show. I will call her as soon as she get's back from Vacation.

Also solidified a registry consultation for next week.

I did not get on the phone... I was wiped out today after being stressed about our roof. It is in the middle of being redone and beacuse of the weather a 2 day job has turned into 5 days!!!

Booo-Yow!!Gotta LOVE contacts like this:

:thumbup:As I'm getting ready for my show. A recruit lead (who attended my meeting Tuesday night) calls to ask some more questions. She is seriously considering signing. Can't quite get what the objection is at this point. Not sure it is $$$. Thinking it might be physical. (she's 73:D) Now we were not supposed to talk until Sunday. She's probably going to sign soon ---It'll be before September for sure KWIM;)

:thumbup:So, on my way to my show tonight I called this past Sunday's host about closing her show. She informed me she talked with her DH, and he agrees PC is a good fit for them. She's supposed to come over next Thursday to sign!:D

:thumbup:Get to my show. As I'm setting up the host is sitting there and so casually that I almost missed it, says "Yeah, I'm thinking about selling this stuff". She was talking to her friend, but most definitely so I could hear. Her DH jumped all over it. He wants them to be a team. Do the show and I ask her if she would like more info. SIGNED CONTRACT IN HAND!!!!

So, I've got a recruit interview tomorrow mid-morning and tons of follow up calls to make. I'm aiming for 10 before September!! Go big or go home, right?!?!

You ROCK, girl!!! How awsome was your day????

I wouldn't go that far!!, But we do have the same ED. I was like#4 for recruiting in my ED's downline (I assume only for those that attended NC) but it sure did feel good to be mentioned that close to the STAR!:D

Where do I find them? Shows of course. And I seek them out. I'll be the first to admit that I do NOT :eek:ask everyone at checkout (yet). I just haven't gotten comfortable with my verbage so it doesn't sound scripted. So instead of sounding phony, I'm silent. BUT then I follow up later if I hear a red flag. Crazy method I know. And so not professional, but it works for me and that is the key. I'm comfortable, so the leads are comfortable with me. Atleast that's what I tell myself. One day I will get really aggressive like we learn in workshops, but I'm not there yet.

Hey, don't change what works for you!

I have had some great success making contacts in Chicago, so I wanted to share:

I got 5 leads in Chicago during the last 2 days, and 2 more today at home just while I was out and about. Plus, I left another message for a recruit lead that I had from a show last month, that I have kept calling unsuccessfully (kept getting voicemails). She left me a voicemail on my cell today, and I finally reached her. WE HAVE AN INTERVIEW tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her DH is stationed overseas right now, and she has 2-3 small children, but has been thinking about doing this for a while. She thinks she might want to wait until late August when the kids go back to school to start her business.

Any words of wisdom for me will be welcome!!!

that is ROCKIN'!!!!! Sign 'em quick!!

No activity for me yesterday....:( Busy getting ready for DD's Birthday party this weekend.

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! ;)

Better days ahead!

What is your show schedule like, Amy? Even when I have a lot of shows I rarely get red flags, but maybe I need to start a thread about how to spot the red flags. I could just be missing something. Not entirely impossible.

no calls last night as i was at a show. 1 catty for sept, 2 recruit leads to follow up on (!), and one possible show in the fall.

A show is the BEST way to get contacts! I count everyone I ask personally about the PC opportunity and hosting.

right now my show schedule is VERY light. I thought I had planned ahead for July, but I did my last show for the MONTH last night. I had a alot of cancellations and postponements. Aside from last night & sunday's host, my leads right now are the ones I keep following up with, the "somedays"
I told my husband last night, that I may not have sales, but I'll have a team:rolleyes:

Wow Amy... You are Smokin!!!

Jill... I like the idea of a "what's a Red flag" thread.... Although you know it would get hijacked and turn into who knows what? LOL!

bwahahahah. Let's not get carried away. Remember they are NOT signed (yet). I seem to attract them like moth to a flame, however my hurdle is qualification!! I'm still trying to figure that one out. I'm hoping I was just a bad run of kitnappers the last half of the TPC year last year and that I've gotten them out of the way.

Just got home from my recruit interview, and thought I would pop in to post.

She hopes to sign up by August 1st, but is going to try for sooner. She needs to get babysitters lined up. (Her DH is stationed in Kuwait, and they have 3 children, age 6 and under). I am so ecstatic because her goal is 2 shows a week, and she has 4 people already that said they would do for her!!!!!

Okay, now to go get on that phone!!!

Had a show last night--16 guests. I spoke with the host and every single guest about the opportunity. I'm kinda proud of myself. I really asked, not just "Do you or someone you know what information . . ." I took a little extra time with each guest. None showed the least bit of interest, but I asked.

You planted the seed Rae...that is one asking. They say that many don't say yes until they are asked 3-5 times. So, ask at every show, ask if something has changed in their life since you last asked...keep going.

Better for you to ask and get a no then to not ask and have the next consultant ask and they say yes to them.

Another Agreement!!!Just home from my interview! Another NEW team member!!

Now to book some shows!!

Good job, Rae, Brenda and Amy!

I've made my three contacts. It's sort of a relief, but I don't have any new shows. I'll still keep calling. I have to get ahead of the game for next week because I'll be doing the roller coaster/water park thing on Wednesday. Well, and, did I already say: I need shows?

I did make a call to a friend who's dh lost his job. They are both looking and dh is going back to school, hopefully. She is seriously considering it as a husband/wife venture. I really played up the nothing to lose and other thing (I almost slipped up here. Oops!). It wasn't a "no". So, off I go to find more people to call.

One of my Aha! moments from NC was realizing that while I was mentioning it, I wasn't truly asking. I have the wording I need to make sure I'm actually engaging them. I'm okay with no. I was a no for a long time. Heck, I was a someday for five years. LOL!

Rae, I've been quoting this all over the place, but one of my AHA! moments was in Recruiting Stars Tell All when Robin House said that she is not out there looking for interested people, that it is her job to create interest. She recruited 41 people last year (35 qualified) and 75% were NOT interested when first asked!

Good point.

***hanging head*****no calls tonight.

Just got back from THE Chuck E Cheese B-day Party....Chaos - sheer chaos!

However, since I went dressed in PC clothing, and armed with PC literature, I did hand out 2 mini catalogs to 2 other ladies at the party, and generated some interest for October shows (not committed, but love the host bonus for Oct!)...so, I will be able to follow-up.

Did you escape to Target during the party? :D

no calls for me either. Trying to get readt FOR DD's b-day party tomorrow and still stressed over the stupid roofers finishing my roof and gutters!!!

No one showed today till 6:30PM!!! They said they would be back tomorrow early and have it done by noon. They better because I have people comming at 1. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!

No - DS was a little panicky when he lost sight of us for too long. AND they had a pretty nice salad bar at CEC. We did go out for Coldstone ice cream after the party though! (it's in the same strip mall.)

His very favorite part was dancing in front of the blue screen.....he spent so much time in front of the camera being the STAR! (he is such a ham!)
