vtodd71 - that is an awesome idea!!!

Thanks! I LOVE Jimmy Buffett and have been lucky enough to see him perform. Some of you thought I might be joking but I'm looking at putting together a future Jimmy Buffett theme cooking show in the near future. There is a local Parrot Head Club here in town that I might call and invite.

I did a Buffett show - we had margaritas, I demo'd the Aloha pizza, Host made cheeseburgers in Paradise - I gave out a prize for the best Buffettwear - everyone had flip flops on and Jimmy was signing (on my ipod) in the background - Oh and those who didn't drink the margaritas had coronas - but this year - we will be serving his own line of beer!!

You have given me some great ideas. Thanks! I like the flip flop ideas. I could give out a prize for the oddest pair of flip flops or wackiest Hula shirt.

And now for the more sophisticated Buffet fans, you can serve the cheeseburger salad (in the collapsable bowl of course), pina colada upside-down cake and put your margarita glasses in the party sticks!

Oh that sounds like fun too - wasn't sure about the sophisticated part though?? Every concert of his I have gone to did have too many "sophisticated" people - just a bunch of Parrot heads enjoying great music , awesome food and drinks and good company! :)

I might just have to try EVERY recipe on here to see which one is the best. Thanks for all your ideas!

Oh, did I mention, I am the only one in my househould that drinks margarita!

When I did my Buffett shows I went to orientaltrading.com and got the grass skirt for my demo table, drink umbrellas, leis and lots of other fun stuff!

People really enjoyed that month!!:D

Got back from tonight's show and just wanted to give feedback on the 7-up/limeade/tequila/corona recipe...

Most really loved it but the professed "margarita lovers" in the group thought it was "only OK" and said it definitely wasn't there favorite. It DID really show off the QSP however. And they all LOVED the JC Nachos, though most would have added more Jamaican Jerk seasoning than the recipe calls for.

Thanks ladies for posting the margarita recipes!

Now I need to go pray that the snow predicted for Sunday doesn't cancel my next show!

Thanks for the tip. I've used Oriental Trading Post in the past. They have some pretty cool stuff. I'm already starting to plan a Jimmy Buffett Cooking Show in May. :D
