I have a host who received hers today and she said that the handle is on there wrong. Should I do an adjustment online or would they just send her out a new lid if I called? It's too late to call tonight and I'm not sure whether I should just do an adjustment online or call tomorow. I hate for them to send a whole new DCB when it's only the lid that needs fixing but wasn't sure if they just will send the lid. Thanks!
God bless,
Amanda

I would call that in... It's like the cracked/broken SBB lids... Why get the whole bowl if the lid is the only problem!

they will want to replace the whole thing. :(

When this happened to a customer of mine, I just had her break off a piece of the lid with a hammer, and send it back. They still sent her a whole new DCB.
I guess I'd rather have too much than not enough.

Hi Amanda,I'm sorry to hear that your host received a DCB with a handle on incorrectly. I would suggest contacting our customer service team tomorrow to see if they can just send out a replacement lid. They may be able to do a quick and easy fix without having to send a whole new DCB. However, if they do need to send a new one, they will take care of it for you. Our team is always happy to help and ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I hope everything gets resolved quickly for your host.Best, Pampered Chef Consultant

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DCB in Pampered Chef?

A DCB, or Deep Covered Baker, is a versatile stoneware product from Pampered Chef designed for cooking, baking, and serving a variety of dishes. It can be used in the microwave, oven, and even on the grill, making it a popular choice for quick and easy meal preparation.

How do I adjust the cooking time when using a DCB?

When using a DCB, cooking times may vary based on the recipe and the wattage of your microwave or oven. It's recommended to start with the suggested cooking time and check for doneness a few minutes before the timer goes off. If needed, you can adjust the time in small increments until the food is cooked to your liking.

Can I adjust the temperature settings when using a DCB in the oven?

Yes, you can adjust the temperature settings when using a DCB in the oven. However, it's important to follow the recommended temperature guidelines for the specific recipe you are using. Generally, DCBs can withstand temperatures up to 500°F, but always refer to the Pampered Chef guidelines for best results.

What should I do if my food is not cooking evenly in the DCB?

If your food is not cooking evenly in the DCB, consider adjusting the placement of the dish in the microwave or oven. For microwaves, ensure that the dish is centered on the turntable. In the oven, you may want to rotate the DCB halfway through the cooking time to promote even cooking.

Is there a way to adjust recipes specifically for the DCB?

Yes, you can adjust recipes for the DCB by considering the cooking method and the size of the dish. Since the DCB retains heat well, you may need to reduce the cooking time or temperature slightly compared to traditional baking methods. Experimenting with your favorite recipes can help you find the perfect adjustments for optimal results.
