Hi, everyone! Can anyone give me some fun ideas or thoughts on doing an ice cream bar or ice cream social?

Thanks! You all always have such great ideas!

Debbie

I think there is another thread on this pretty recently. I have one this month too an an apartment complex for an apartment manager's residents. She does some kind of show a month with someone different and this month is Pampered Chef!!! Last month was Mary Kay and she sold over $600!

I did more of a demo, and then they made their own sundaes....

The host picked ONE topping for me to make, and then the rest were just items we cut or chopped etc. that they could add to their sundaes.

Sorry...doesnt' look like the format worked very nicely cutting and pasting here, but you get the idea!

1. How many flavors of ice cream should I offer?

It is recommended to offer at least 3-4 flavors of ice cream to provide variety for your guests. However, you can also offer more or fewer flavors based on your budget and the size of your event.

2. Can I provide toppings for the ice cream bar?

Yes, toppings are a great addition to an ice cream bar or social! Some popular options include sprinkles, chocolate chips, crushed cookies, nuts, fruit, and sauces. Make sure to have a variety of options to cater to different preferences.

3. How much ice cream should I buy?

A good rule of thumb is to buy about 1/2 cup of ice cream per person. This may vary depending on the age and appetite of your guests. It's always better to have extra ice cream than not enough, so consider buying a little more than you think you'll need.

4. How can I keep the ice cream from melting at an outdoor event?

If your event will be held outdoors, it's important to keep the ice cream chilled to prevent it from melting. One option is to use a cooler filled with ice to keep the ice cream containers in. You can also provide insulated ice cream bowls or cones to help keep the ice cream cold.

5. Can I offer dairy-free or vegan options?

Yes, it's a good idea to offer dairy-free or vegan options for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. Some options include sorbet, coconut milk-based ice cream, or vegan ice cream made with almond or soy milk. Make sure to label these options clearly so guests know they are available.
