So, I have a good friend that is unsure about hosting a show. I am letting her borrow my DCB for the night tomorrow and told her if she loves it she is booking a show.. she was good on that deal.

The thing is that she and her family like rather plain foods.. what do you recommend? I was thinking.. chicken with a cream of mushroom soup.. in the micro for 15 mins? and the put it over pasta?
And suggestions would be great!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the DCB and how can I use it for picky eaters?

The DCB, or Deep Covered Baker, is a versatile stoneware piece from Pampered Chef that can be used in the microwave, oven, and even the refrigerator. For picky eaters, you can prepare simple, flavorful recipes that allow for customization, such as baked pasta or chicken and vegetables. This way, each person can choose what they want to include, making it easier to cater to different tastes.

Can you suggest a simple recipe for the DCB that appeals to picky eaters?

A great recipe for picky eaters is a Cheesy Chicken and Rice Bake. Simply layer cooked rice, diced chicken, and your choice of vegetables in the DCB. Top with cheese and bake until bubbly. This dish is easy to customize by allowing each person to choose their preferred veggies or cheese.

How long does it take to cook a meal in the DCB for picky eaters?

Cooking times in the DCB vary depending on the recipe, but most meals can be prepared in 30-60 minutes. For example, a simple casserole might take about 40 minutes in the oven. The DCB is designed for even cooking, so you can trust that your meal will be ready in a timely manner.

Are there any tips for making DCB recipes more appealing to picky eaters?

To make DCB recipes more appealing, consider using familiar ingredients and flavors. Keep the seasoning mild and allow for optional toppings, like cheese or herbs, that can be added after cooking. Presentation also matters; serve the meal in a fun way or let everyone build their own plates to make it more interactive.

Can I prepare meals in advance using the DCB for picky eaters?

Absolutely! The DCB is perfect for meal prep. You can prepare your dish ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. Just be sure to adjust cooking times if you're cooking from frozen. This makes it easy to have a homemade meal ready to go, even for those with picky preferences.
