Help me, I have a show on Friday, she would like a great appetizer with no dairy. I can't find much! Any help, I would even try a dessert if you have one!

Chili Lime Meatballs from the Appetizers Cookbook!

Steamed Wonton Purses and use the Ginger Wasabi and Thai Peanut Sauces for dipping!

Make salsa with cherry tomatoes, half an onion, 2 cloves garlic, jalapeno pepper, lime zest and juice, cilantro. Do it all with the salad choppers or food chopper.

Serve with tortilla chips you made ahead - sprinkles of lime juice and some fresh ground salt from the grinder. cut them apart and bake in a 200-300 degree oven for about 8-12 minutes.

----------------
Apple Berry Salsa (from All The Best Cookbook)
an apple, strawberries, kiwi, optional orange zest, possibly some sweetener - jelly or honey or sugar.

Serve with cinnamon tortilla chips that you make ahead - brush with water, cinnamon and sugar (or any of the sweet sprinkles!)

Good luck!

Scott, I gave the host all these ideas and she picked the salsa. She has 10 confirmed guests, please give tips!!! I have never made homemade salsa!!! Thanks in advance!
Good luck

The Asian Crab Salad Crisps in the F/W 2009 SB are a favourite of mine. I have made them at several shows and have received "YUM" from everyone, every time. It's easy and it's quick.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some dairy-free appetizer options for a party?

There are plenty of delicious dairy-free appetizers you can serve at a party! Consider options like stuffed mushrooms with quinoa and vegetables, guacamole with tortilla chips, or a fresh vegetable platter with hummus. You can also try making bruschetta with tomatoes and basil on toasted bread, or roasted chickpeas for a crunchy snack.

Can I make a dairy-free dip for my appetizers?

Absolutely! You can create a tasty dairy-free dip using ingredients like avocado, beans, or tahini. For example, a creamy avocado dip can be made by blending ripe avocados with lime juice, garlic, and spices. Another option is a white bean dip, which can be made by blending cooked white beans with olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs.

Are there any dairy-free cheese alternatives for appetizers?

Yes, there are several dairy-free cheese alternatives available that can be used in appetizers. Look for products made from nuts, soy, or coconut. You can also make your own nut-based cheese by blending soaked cashews with nutritional yeast, lemon juice, and spices to create a creamy spread that pairs well with crackers or vegetables.

What are some easy-to-make dairy-free appetizers?

Easy dairy-free appetizers include items like roasted vegetables, marinated olives, or a simple fruit platter. You can also prepare rice paper rolls filled with fresh vegetables and herbs, or make a quinoa salad with black beans and corn. These options are not only simple to prepare but also visually appealing!

How can I ensure my appetizers are completely dairy-free?

To ensure your appetizers are dairy-free, always check the labels of pre-packaged ingredients for hidden dairy products. Common items to watch for include cheese, cream, butter, and milk. When cooking from scratch, use fresh ingredients and dairy-free alternatives, and be cautious about cross-contamination if you are serving guests with dairy allergies.
