Yesterday, I received my super starter kit! I am so excited! :D I've put together my hostess packets for my cooking shows, but I have no idea what I should include in my hostess packets for a catalog show. Any advice?

Love Cookin--My catalog host packet is pretty much the same as the Cooking show packet with one difference. I put in a sheet called Catalog Show Tips up front so they can reference that if they have questions. I use paper folders with the 3-ring holder in the middle and 2 pockets. The ones I use also have a place right on the inside for a business card.

On the inside pocket I have my business card on a Wal-Mart magnet. Then on the inside of the flap I have the Show Planner with 4 copies of the outside order form.

In the brads behind sheet protectors I put these pages in:
1) Catalog tips sheet
2) Host special flyer
3) Guest special flyer
4) 4 additional outside order forms
5) Next month's host special
6) Following month's host special
7) 5 size Apron flyer
8) Any recruiting promotion going on at the time

In the back pocket I put 3-4 catalogs. I use Nancy's Artwork stickers to jazz it up a bit like the Yellow Catalog Pointers sticker and others.

I know the Apron flyer has been posted before, but at least now you have them both in the same place.

Good luck and happy cooking!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Hostess Packet and why is it important for a Catalog Show?

A Hostess Packet is a collection of materials provided to a hostess to help them promote and organize their Catalog Show. It typically includes catalogs, order forms, product samples, and tips for hosting. This packet is important because it equips the hostess with the necessary tools to effectively showcase products, engage guests, and maximize sales.

What should I include in a Hostess Packet for a Catalog Show?

Your Hostess Packet should include a current catalog, order forms, a host rewards flyer, a list of suggested recipes or product uses, and any promotional materials relevant to the show. Additionally, consider including a personal note or tips for the hostess on how to engage guests and encourage orders.

How can I help my hostess promote the Catalog Show using the Hostess Packet?

Encourage your hostess to share the contents of the Hostess Packet with their friends and family. They can use social media to showcase products, share recipes, or post videos demonstrating the use of specific items. Providing them with a few sample posts or graphics can also help them promote the show more effectively.

What tips can I give my hostess to maximize attendance at the Catalog Show?

Advise your hostess to send out invitations well in advance and follow up with guests as the date approaches. They can also create excitement by offering incentives for attendees, such as a raffle or a small gift for the first few orders. Encourage them to share their excitement about the products and the rewards they can earn as a hostess.

How can I follow up with guests after the Catalog Show?

After the Catalog Show, it’s important to follow up with guests to thank them for attending and to remind them about placing their orders. You can send a personalized email or message, including a link to the catalog or a summary of the products showcased. Additionally, encourage your hostess to reach out to guests to gather feedback and maintain engagement for future shows.
