I went to the local HO training and one thing she suggested was this: Don't ask for bookings. Instead, offer a service of teaching people how to cook on a budget. She said have the host ask guests to bring a recipe with five ingredients or less. Then, when have each one come up and choose a product and say how that would help them cook their recipe.

I like this idea and am trying it this Saturday with host who verbally told everyone to bring a recipe. Did anyone else hear this explained at the training? Do you have an invite that would tell people to bring a recipe? Thanks for your suggestions....

That's a great idea. We all get sick of the same thing. That's a great way to learn & share, not to mention keeping shows interesting & guests tuned in. Interactive doesn't necessarily mean hands on all the time.

We need to keep our shows current with the times. Budgeting time & $$$ is a key to bookings now. Keeping our shows interesting in different ways sets us apart from other DS companies.

I really like this idea and I think I'll try it at my next show.

I like that wording a lot! Sorry, I don't have an invite, but eventually, I'll get one together!

This is a really cool concept!
Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I'd be interested in an invite too.

I like this idea too! Thanks for sharing!!!
