This thread centers around the July Booking Challenge and participants' experiences and frustrations regarding its scheduling and accessibility, particularly for those balancing full-time jobs with their Pampered Chef consulting activities.
Views differ significantly among participants regarding the accessibility of the challenge. Some feel it is unfairly restrictive for part-time consultants, while others believe it offers opportunities for everyone.
Participants share personal experiences related to their availability for shows and the impact of their full-time jobs on their ability to engage with the challenge.
Consultants who are balancing full-time jobs with their Pampered Chef business may find the discussion relevant, particularly those interested in understanding the challenges faced by their peers.
pampered1224 said:I just e-mailed HO. I work full time, Monday through Friday from 9 or 10 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. I do not know anyone who would book a party at 8 or 8:30 p.m. on weeknight! Do you???
Geez, why does it seem they ALWAYS assume EVERYONE DOES THIS FULL TIME??!!
It is so unfair!

I am reading the book by Gary Coxe. And you know what? Apparently I need re-read it! He says that for everything you want, there is always something you must give up. If I wanted it bad enough, I could figure out how to do it.
SORRY GARY!!! AND SORRY EVERYONE HERE! I guess it has just been a long day at my FT and I still have two hours to go. UGH!!!! I guess what I really need to do is figure out how to get out of my FT!!

Now if you subtract out all the consultants who think the same thing your chances go up!IAmChefJ said:I'm thinking that if they're making 50 calls each day... the chances of them actually calling ME one night --out of all the consultants doing shows across America each night --are pretty slim.
I'm not much into sweepstakes so I'm not going to sweat it. If I book a show during that time, I'll register it, but I'm not going to mess up my regular schedule for it. The odds are too much against me.

It takes a smart, strong man to say what you just said here.
I really respect the fact that you came back and admitted that you were having a momentary lapse, and apologized for it.
Thank you! I knew I liked you - and now my respect for you has risen immensely!
pampered1224 said:Sound like a great idea but... There are literally 4 consultants in that same area and everyone seems to know them. However, that does not mean that if I do the work to get it, I just might. I am having a heck of time just booking June right now because, guess!?? We have two weekend updates I have to be at my FT for. SO... I am working the catty show angle around people being out and about. Carry that catty and get free stuff! No fuss, no muss! So we;ll see how that goes. Not to mention I took every ounce of energy I had to make over $3000 in May for a HWC fundraiser. I close it tomorrow and I am well over $4000!!! Not only that, I was within $3000 of the $100,000 career sales and beat it to heck All in a catty fundraiser!!! So now that everyone I know and people I don;t ordered in MAy, where the heck to go in June? We'll see!!
The July Sizzles Booking Challenge is a promotional event organized by Pampered Chef aimed at encouraging consultants to book more parties during the month of July. It typically includes incentives, prizes, and friendly competition among consultants to boost their sales and bookings.
Some consultants may feel that the July Sizzles Booking Challenge stinks due to the pressure to meet booking goals, the competitiveness among peers, or the perception that the incentives are not worth the effort. Additionally, if they struggle to secure bookings, it can lead to frustration and disappointment.
To improve your chances of success, focus on building relationships with potential hosts, offering enticing incentives for hosting, and utilizing social media to promote your parties. Additionally, consider reaching out to past hosts or customers who may be interested in hosting again.
Common challenges include difficulty in finding hosts, competition from other consultants, and the seasonal nature of summer when many people are on vacation. Additionally, some consultants may struggle with time management or feel overwhelmed by the challenge.
Staying motivated can be achieved by setting realistic goals, celebrating small wins, and connecting with fellow consultants for support and encouragement. Creating a daily routine for outreach and booking efforts can also help maintain focus and enthusiasm throughout the challenge.
