Once they are opened, they are to be refrigerated. How long do they safely keep in the refrigerator?

I am terrible with this. There aren't any preservatives, so I would say no more than 2-3 weeks.

Oh no - I'm hoping they last a bit longer than that... !!! It doesn't say anything about how long it keeps on the label.

No artificial preservatives, but they do contain vinegar and salt, which are natural preservatives. I would guess more like 2-3 months.

But if you want to know a "real" answer, email the test kitchen.

I would listen to Becky!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ideal temperature for refrigerating food?

The ideal temperature for refrigerating food is at or below 40°F (4°C). This temperature helps slow the growth of bacteria and keeps food safe for consumption.

How long can I store leftovers in the refrigerator?

Leftovers can typically be stored in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. It's important to keep them in airtight containers to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.

Can I store hot food directly in the refrigerator?

It is not recommended to store hot food directly in the refrigerator as it can raise the overall temperature inside, potentially putting other stored food at risk. Allow hot food to cool down to room temperature before refrigerating.

What foods should not be stored in the refrigerator?

Foods that should not be stored in the refrigerator include tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and garlic. These items are best kept in a cool, dark place outside the fridge to maintain their flavor and texture.

How can I tell if refrigerated food has gone bad?

Signs that refrigerated food has gone bad include an off smell, discoloration, mold growth, or a change in texture. If you notice any of these signs, it's best to discard the food to avoid foodborne illness.
